Our two nights were intended to be a quick stop on our way to the island's beaches, but I now wish I'd spent another day or two here. I won't consider anyplace else the next time I'm in Cagliari."

"Well, Cagliari was not a destination for us - it was an airport - so our time was short and our expectations were muted. That said, the historic district was nightmarish to drive though and parking was a blood-sport. In fact, the parking debacle put us in a foul mood for our brief stay. That said, the hotel did not temper our moods. They only gave us one key, which complicated our logistics. They have no parking (understandable) but the nearest parking was 0.4km away. "We stayed in a new bedroom, just in front of the main building of the hotel. The bedroom was lovely, very well decorated, with a small fridge, a nespresso coffee machine, a kettle, and a complete bathroom. Everything was spotless. It is 1 minute away from the bus stop. 5 minutes away from the supermarket and there are a lot of restaurants around. The closest beach is private, but you walk 2 minutes longer, and there is a public one which has all the amenities you might need. We loved it and...
