The cottage is quiet, surrounded by greenery, close to anything here and cosy. It is also reasonably priced for any location. Thank you.

Liked: central location in portsea, a cute little beach town with a great restaurant Le Capucin Disliked: expedia presentation that this was a beachfront property with swimming pool by map location and pictures, only to find out it was not beachfront and had no pool. We knew the property was dorm style and dated, but chose it for it's location. Property manager?, Tony, was professional to deal with in the morning regarding this and offered a discount secondary to the misrepresentation.

It was all self service. No contact at all by staff, neither a pone call nor in person. No mentions that there is no aircon for cooling. Did not like the fact that there is an extra charge for using linen. Even if we wanted to use, their instruction was for us to call them to notify about this and then find out how much it would cost us - bit silly. No soap and shampoo provided.

read the fine print on your booking.

thought we were booking into portsea but ended up between beaches in rye. these people have multiple sites with cabins on them. made to clean just about the whole place other than vac and mop to avoid paying extra.

Lovely area but accommodation is dated

There were simple things that disappointed overall. No bedside lamps and only one bedside table were weird. Refrigerator leaked water during our stay. No hairdryer and tv was not working on arrival. My list of issues totalled ten. Staff were helpful re tv problem but did not makeup for all the other matters. It was a shame as we enjoyed the area immensely.

basic accommodation where you just go to sleep. and reheat your take away. a bit pricey for what it offers.

Rooms were above a shop not stated on Wotif

Very disappointed with our stay. The place smelt of wet carpet, the beds were uncomfortable, and the shower didn't work properly. TV didn't work either. Lolly wrappers on the couch when we arrived.

Needs a makeover!

Was disappointed when entering the accommodation, the place felt very dated & could certainly do with a makeover! Bathroom very small, no wifi at all. Very overpriced for what there was on offer.

basic accommodation for family get away

Family weekend away with teenagers We stayed in Youth Hostel Acc a few weeks prior - same fit out, much cleaner and half the price - disappointed, this was not 3 star accommodation. However, if furniture and decoration was to be upgraded, could be a fantastic stay, as the thoughtful things are already there - sandpit for toddlers/smaller children, a secure garden to play in and toys in the children's room. I thought that was a nice touch. Booking staff very friendly over the phone. Very close to beach and shops.

Had the place to myself and for the price cabins are large, very enjoyable stay with no disturbances.
