Great location! Tucked away in the quieter part of South Beach while still close enough to all the action. The hotel itself has a distinctive charm: intimate and stylish, with a boutique character that feels curated rather than manufactured. Its design captures the essence of Miami - playful, elegant, and unmistakably local. Most memorable, though, is the staff... Their attentiveness and genuine warmth create an atmosphere that feels less like a hotel stay and more like being welcomed into a gracious home. The place is a gem and we look forward to coming back soon!

Fantastic stay for birthday trip!

The Balfour Hotel was the perfect oasis for my 30th birthday celebration. I booked several queen double rooms and was very pleased by the spaciousness, cleanliness, and comfort! The bathrooms were a little tight for a group of 4 per room, but it was manageable and we had more than enough towels. I especially appreciated the beach towel, chair, and umbrella services! All the staff were great and made us feel welcome. The location is awesome!

The room was cute and boys (ahes 9 and 11) loved the bunkbeds but we could hear upstairs clomping around and air conditioned leaked all over the floor. The staff were accommodating and offered to change our room but it was more hassle than it was worth with a 1 night stay

The property is just what you would expect for this area, the room was small but as are most rooms on this area. We really liked how quiet it was yet close to all the action and the walk to the beach was so easy and great amenities to have two chairs and an umbrella included in the room rental. Staff was so kind!

They charge an exorbitant resort fee and calling this a “resort” is a huge stretch of the imagination. This is basically a Motel 6 on South Beach.

Hotel location was perfect. Checkin was quick. Room was clean and bathroom well appointed. Coffee machine was awesome. We really liked the ability to use chaises and umbrella at the beach. The amenities were supposed to include a cocktail… instead we got a 3oz pour of cheap Prosecco.

On Expedia the price states "includes fees and taxes" but on the receipt it states $45 resort fee due on property. This was frustrating. Then we got into our room and I opened the curtains to find half of the drywall falling down with mold (photo), we moved rooms and our next room had a leaking air conditioner with water all over the front of the wardrobe (the only place to put clothes) and the floor. We finally settled in the 3rd room. They gave us a coupon for a free welcome drink - but didn't tell us it was only for beer and champagne. However, the staff was nice enough - definitely didn't go out of their way to be helpful or offer to help move our bags from room to room.

The location is marvellous, rooms are ok. However, I have found (only when I checked in) the there is a "resort fee" of $35 plus tax per night that too me felt like a rip off as they claim it includes things such as WiF, fruit in the lobby (never found a fruit in 3 days), water stations in the lobby, beach towels, plus rather useless things such as free tour of the hotel, etc. Frankly I would have preferred that these "amenities" were included in the room cost ... I find it an irritating to use such a trick to keep apparent room cost lower.
