"We had spent the three prior evenings in other IHG properties, and made the terrible mistake of booking this location prior to walking through it. In spite of our booking confirmation showing a burger and fries in the hotel restaurant, it was closed. The front desk clerk informed us that it was "closed for remodeling", in spite of having a fully stocked bar ( with the lights turned off ).
Entering the property felt a bit like entering a secure government building, with one narrow automatic door in a narrow walkway.
The highway noise was as bad as we've heard anywhere we've stayed in the past.
We ended up finding another hotel, and attempted to get a refund through Expedia since we'd booked with them, which was useless ( they offered a $25 future booking credit ). The IHG site only offers communication with an AI chatbot, which was equally useless.
Lesson learned the hard way, but hoping to save other travelers from suffering the same fate."
