Room / Housekeeping - Bedroom was a good size. Pillows need to be replaced with new ones. Towels need to be cleaned thoroughly. Amenities need to be checked prior to guests arriving as we ran out of toilet paper. Breakfast - More options required. Very minimal. With only four guests maximum any one time a mini menu with hot food options would be much better. Surrounding Area - Lovely backyard with beautiful flowers and a lovely fire pit to sit around. If you don't like wildlife noises whilst sleeping then this place is not for you. We enjoyed it. Also a great brewery that is only 5 minutes walk. Value - I have searched many bed n breakfast and this was one was quite expensive considering others in the area. If breakfast had options and attention to detail in regards to housekeeping this would be a lovely place to stay and value for money.

A hidden gem. From the outside front you might be worried but once you go around the back it's wonderfully relaxing. Our host was great and ensured that we had everything that we need.

Hosts were very friendly and accommodating... we had a great stay and will definitely stay again. The room had everything you need and very thoughtful additions such as night cap and chocolates. The breakfast was great and gardens lovely. The outside doesn’t give justice to the overall experience.

Ideally situated and set in beautiful gardens, Bowral Road Bed and Breakfast is the perfect retreat for a relaxing time away. Tastefully appointed, careful attention to detail, excellent breakfast and friendly and helpful hosts. I will definitely return.

Lovely rooms on a quiet garden
While located adjacent to a busy road the rooms are tucked away at the back of the property looking over a lovely garden. The location is convenient and the owners friendly and helpful.

Relaxing retreat in the Southern Highlands
We arrived after a long journey and were greeted to a well-appointed room and ensuite. Outside was a beautiful garden where we could relax and rest up before going out to dinner nearby. In the morning we had fresh juice and fruit waiting for us as we helped ourselves to hot tea and coffee and a variety of toasts and cereals. At all times, our host was very attentive and ensures that our stay was as comfortable as possible.

A small simple tidy BNB with lovely tiny garden
Fantastic base for exploring nearby Southern Highland towns by bus from the stop practically across the road from the BNB. We traveled by Berrima Bus (Seniors'tickets) all day between Mittagong and Bundanoon for the total of A$2.50 pp.

A very modest weatherboard house on a main Rd, no off road parking. Two nicely renovated and furnished B and B rooms at back with a pretty breakfast room. However, the pricing led us to expect much more. Minimal breakfast included, but for a cooked breakfast you paid more. Certainly not luxe.

From the minute we walked in, Alyse and Shane made us feel welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The room was very comfortable, and had everything you would want. We had a very relazing stay and would come back any time.

Pretty good overall
Pretty good experience overall. The only thing is that an advertised price that includes "breakfast" should mean a fully cooked breakfast unless "continental" is specified - which was not. But no big deal except I made the decision to stay there on the assumption that the price included full breakfast.

On a main road and did not have off street parking. No glasses provided in the bathroom to wash out your mouth after cleaning your teeth. Only one small cake of soap provided. Overpriced.

The room was scrupulously clean.
It was perfect. I only stayed one night but would love to stay longer in the Southern Highlands especially in the Spring. The garden at the B'nB was beautiful and the room was very comfortable. The extra touches of home made biscuits and slice for afternoon tea and a port before bedtime made the stay very special.

Lovely B & B in central location
Having turned up on a cold, rainy evening, getting a warm welcome was a lovely thing. The room was well appointed with a lovely King Size bed (I am rather tall, so it is a preferred option), small bar fridge, portable oil heater. A lovely touch was the bottle of port with a couple of bite sized tim tams. There was also a CD player running with local artisans music. The room also had a large screen TV and couch. The bathroom is large with a glassed in shower. Breakfast was chosen from an options menu. A basic breakfast was included in the tariff, but a cooked breakfast costs extra, but was well worth the additional cost. The eating room has a large selection of teas, mostly herbal for the tea afficionardo. It was warm, and big enough to accommodate those staying in the two rooms withou being too large. Didn't get to see much of the grounds, but what I did see of them was lovely.

Unfortunately, a few simple basics were not done correctly. The bed and those in adjacent rooms (thin walls) squeaked through the night. The tap in the basin was not the correct size so that there was no room to place your hand under the running freezing water. They need to install a tap mixer that is the right size. Also linen did not seem clean, we had to request a pillow with fresh pillow cases. The operator wanted us to use the display pillows...

This is the second time I stayed here, Its becoming very addictive, must be the home cooked muffins available upon check-in. Or is it the Tea selection perfect for the country weather. (Don't forget your UGG boats and 3 layers of clothing) Alise and her partner are amazing hosts and offer great in room dinning along with Breakfast packages which are delicious and huge country serving sizes. I had the Pancake state it was amazing but huge, very generous. I will be back soon, I even got to meet the owners horses, and fed them their carrot lunch at there ranch down the road.

The owners were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, well appointed and attractively furnished. The bathroom was excellent with a larger than average shower. It was a joy to watch the cockatoos in the garden in the morning through the window. A continental breakfast was included with the option at extra cost for a cooked breakfast. The small dining room was lovely overlooking a small courtyard and had a large range of teas and instant coffee. The room was quiet and no traffic noise was heard even though the premises is on a main road. The only problem for us was access as we had been on the road for a while and had large bags. Parking is on the main road and access is down through a narrow walkway into the back garden and up several steps to the door. However, the owners did offer to help us with our bags. Overall the stay was lovely and very comfortable.

This is a charming and very comfortable little place that's more like staying with family as opposed to staying at a Motel or similar. Access to Mittagong and Bowral, which was just what we were looking for, was excellent and convenient. No hesitation in recommending this place particularly if you're seeking something a little different with good personal service.

Hidden oasis
Great location as long as you have access to a car, beautiful gardens even though its off from the main road, you feel like you are living in an oasis. The birds tweeting in the morning makes you feel so far from the city. A wonderful break!
