"The lodge was further out of town than we expected and on an unsealed road. Luckily we didn't meet anyone on the last stretch up to the lodge as it would have been a challenge to back down the driveway.
Online it said that reception would be open when we arrived, but there was no-one around other than the bar staff (who were very helpful and allowed us to have breakfast earlier than advertised the next day as we needed an early departure). We didn't see any other staff and only a handful of guests so it was very quiet.
Our room was very large with a nice outlook and a balcony. The bathroom was one of the largest I have ever encountered, with a double shower and double spa bath. The complimentary biscuits in the room, along with the tea/coffee/hot chocolate supplies were a nice touch. "

"I read some reviews from last year that were condemning, there appears to be work happening since then.
1It was clean, beds in new condition and comfortable.
Bathroom, clean and tidy, may have had work done as well.
New sliding door, all windows appear new, front door very tidy.
Carpet up stairs needs replacing, stairs are a bit wobbly.
No toaster in kitchen and lack of cutlery, no sharp knife.
Crockery and glasses in good condition.
I feel it is good value for money and l know a few things to take for a future stay.
Once these things have been attended to it should be ready for a new grading by Motel Assn."

"Really nice room and accessible which is always great, would prefer a later check out time especially having a accessible room you don’t have very long to gather everything to leave but other than that our stay was great and I’d say we will be back !"
