"This hotel served its purpose for a short stay, but unfortunately I would not choose to stay here again. The property is very dated, had a noticeable musty/moldy odor, and did not feel particularly clean. The bed linens were stained, which was especially disappointing. The complimentary continental breakfast was mediocre at best. While I appreciate that breakfast was included, I expected better quality and selection. We were in town for a bereavement trip, so the hotel met our immediate needs...

"Checking in went smoothly and staff was helpful in directing us to area dining options. Even though the hotel was busy, our room was quiet and sleep was refreshing on comfortable beds. While enjoying a well stocked breakfast bar and fresh brewed coffee we were surprised that old time friends were also staying at this hotel so breakfast was a catchup time. The staff was very accommodating and expedited a delayed checkout . This Holiday Inn Express in Baytown was an excellent choice for us!"

"Everything was HORRIBLE. I specifically asked for a non-smoking room, but the room they gave me smelled heavily of cigarettes. There was a burnt crack pipe on the floor, cigarette burn holes in the bed, and the overall condition was unacceptable. I asked to be switched to another room, and while they did move me, the second room had a random man’s dirty clothes left inside. I asked for the room to be cleaned and for the sheets to be changed, but they never changed them becauseI ended up doing...

"breakfast buffet had waffle maker but when I asked if they had sugar free syrup. She said no. It is available at many hotels or restaurants. The grass around the hotel was high but I realize there has been a lot of rain. For my dog , we had to find an area of grass that had been recently cut for her to walk around in front of the hotel."

"Well maintained hotel, with a friendly staff! The breakfast was good, except one day they were apparently short staffed and ran out of breakfast items early, which was brought to the attention of the front desk who immediately responded."

"The hotel is beautiful. Breakfast is the only complaint I have. The breakfast does not taste good. It’s expensive and it’s horrible. The bacon is very very cheap and undone. Thin, undone bacon, that’s not crispy. It’s really bad. The coffee is bad, and the French toast is bad. Hire a new cook and this location would be a 10/10."

"We always stay at Hampton Inn because it is a reliably nice place to stay with an excellent breakfast; therefore, we were disappointed with the breakfast at this particular hotel. Powered eggs, bland potatoes, and chicken sausage along with runny oatmeal were not good."
