We loved everything about Porta Castellana. Beautiful property, delicious breakfast & easy parking. Annalisa & Duccio were exceptionally helpful with local knowledge of where to dine, buy the freshest local pecorino & try Brunello.

Such an amazing place to stay. Absolute 10/10! No matter what you're interested in doing in the area, the hosts are able to make specific recommendations to make sure your trip is exactly what you're hoping for. The winery recommendations were extremely helpful because there are so many to choose from. Everything is clean, comfortable, up to date, and simply beautiful.

AMAZING!

Wow! We were very impressed with our stay at Porta Castellana. They were kind enough to let us check-in early which was a great way to start our visit to Montalcino. Duccio and Dida were very welcoming and took the time to inform us of local attractions including the amazing restaurants etc The room was clean and extremely comfortable and their linens and towels were monogrammed to boot. The grounds were lovely and they served breakfast outside. It was delicious and plentiful with an assortment of pastries, fruit, yogurt and savoury items. We will definitely return. Word for the wise, if your GPS sends you up a dirt road I would suggest not taking it and following the main road into town.

Amazing stay, our host Annalisa was the best as well as her son Duccio in every capacity. Duccio helped us navigate the area & suggested some excellent restaurants. Not only did Annalisa give us great places to eat, she went out of her way to set up an incredible day of wine tasting for my wife & I, we had the best time. Also loved our room, very clean. Breakfast was served every morning at a beautiful outdoor location near our room, different delicious selections every morning. Look forward to going back!!!

We absolutely LOVED our stay! The entire property is so lovely and charming. Our room was beautiful and clean, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and the proprietor was a joy to work with. I highly recommend staying there.

From check in to check out we were treated like family! We arrived with warm greetings and information. Our room was SO lovely and the garden breakfast was something to look forward to every day! We were sorry to leave. But will return.

The staff was awesome. The room could have been a little more comfortable with a comfy reading chair or place to relax. Transportation was difficult but the bed was comfortable and clean. Not child friendly.

Foi uma agradável estadia, bem no centro de Montalcino, quarto e banheiro amplos, roupas de cama e banho de boa qualidade e limpas. A recepção foi muito calorosa feita pela anfitriã Sra Annalisa e seu filho Ducho ambos muito simpáticos e educados que nos atenderam muito bem. O café da manhã é servido no quarto na hora que vc solicitar, com variedade de frutas, pães, suco e café, pedimos ovos medidos e fomos prontamente atendidos. Se tivesse mais calor poderiamos ter tomado café no jardim. Enfim é um ótimo lugar para se hospedar na Toscana com várias opções de restaurantes e adegas.

Hotel sensacional! a dona faz toda a diferença com dicas e muita atenção ao hospede. o quarto que fiquei foi super coinfortavel, bem decorado, cama boa, banheiro bom. super indico. sem duvida, a melhor opção em Montaltino. o café da manhã pé um charme a parte, servido no quiosque uma cesta cheia de gostosuras. amei minha estadia lá e voltaria mil vezes.
