Ok hotel and location
Hotel was ok. Location is good, but you'll need a car to move around as Muscat is big. My main complain was that at check-in our rooms were not ready (we were there at 330, 30 mins after check-in started). We were told that we just had to wait as the cleaners were in the room. While i understand that eventualities do happen, what bothered me was the attitude of the reception woman who didnt even apologize for the rooms not being ready basically rudely ordered us to wait until the cleaning staff finished. This is certainly not the situation you'd like to find yourself into after a very long trip.

sudden staycation due to almost citywide blackout
Stay was really good; the situation of an almost city-wide blackout tested the reception service of the hotel. Given mine was short-notice (1hr booking prior to checking in before midnight) due to the situation, reception was busy and my booking was nowhere in their records. Thanks to the initiative of the reception hotel staff of manually checking me in even though I waited for more than an hour, with other potential guests rushing in to book just for the night due to unbearable heat.

A great Hotel in Al Khuwair Muscat
It’s a wonderful hotel in center of town with lots of eateries, shops or other facility around in an area called Al Khuwair, the staff all are fantastic very friendly, plenty of parking out and in basement, great rooms with all required comforts. I will stay back when ever I come back to Muscat …

Hotel food and food service quality is lower than expectations. Restaurant food is overpriced. Asked for wake up call but didn't hear a call at all. Otherwise, it is new, modern hotel in a central location.

The hotel just opened recently so it’s very new, very clean, the stuff is really very nice and the breakfast buffet is great. But the mattresses are not good in my opinion. The mattress on the king-size bed was plastic covered and due to that very loud when moving or turning around. Our kids on the extra beds had very hard mattresses also covered fully by plastic which made them very uncomfortable.

This new hotel is new and nicely appointed in an OK reasonably central location in Muscat. It is nicely furnished to a good standard and rooms are large and bright. We however had countless problems with the staff and service levels during our stay. The first night we were kept awake by constant loud banging, the source of which was never discovered. We asked to move rooms and were subsequently upgraded which was a nice touch. However, all our subsequent interactions with the reception desk never resulted in a resolution to any issues we had. For example on making tea hot water poured all over the floor and burned me because the cup was cracked and leaking. I called reception and asked for a replacement cup. The cup never arrived. The following day we went out for the morning. Upon our return late afternoon we found our room had not been cleaned which was annoying as we were wanting to change to go out for dinner. Upon leaving again in the evening we advised reception it hadn't been cleaned, advised that we were going out for the evening and requested it was cleaned before we returned. We returned later that evening to find it still hadn't been cleaned despite us highlighting the issue. All in all really poor service from a hotel in this category and not really one we would return to. There are better in Muscat.

New hotel but a bad incident ruined one night.
New hotel. Very Clean. Unfortunately bad experience the 2nd night because the fire alarm went on every hour due to disfunction, imposible to sleep. The hotel front desk manager apologized for the inconvenience and refund me that night. So Thank you. Now I imagine the alarm is fixed.

Property location isn't as good as I had anticipated, it's fine for the grand mosque and airport but far from everything else you'd want to visit as a tourist. Prior to booking I noted other reviews stating this hotel has a problem with noise, unfortunately that is true. You can hear everything in the corridor very clearly inside your room. It feels like the room has zero sound proofing. The AC is also extremely loud. The restaurant buffet in the hotel is very bad. The buffet selection was extremely poor and I decided to eat elsewhere, however, there is almost nowhere else nearby the hotel to eat without a taxi ride.
