"Bar closes at 11pm. Refused me service from 10.40pm but continued serving others. And no, I was not intoxicated. I had been told the bar was closing evidently. The latecomers had not. They were still there when I returned from the local pub. You are supposed to aspire to something adult, young lady (bar manager) and being a Karen is not being adult."

"The property was in an ideal location to cater for an upcoming surgery at nearby hospital. The spa bath was more of an inconvenience, given we had elderly family who found it almost impossible to access. The room was clean enough although kitchen utensils could do with a really good clean. Staff friendly and helpful, especially with the logistics of parking which is awkward on check out. Great food outlets and other retailers nearby. We would use again."

"The hotel is unique. it is luxurious yet very whimsical. Our room was spacious, well appointed and very quirky. Walking in made me smile. The view of the river and the skyline of Brisbane was fantastic and the last thing I saw before falling asleep every night. However, I found the hallways to be very dark and depressing as the walls were painted black. It did not however impacted my experience and enjoyment. The breakfast, which was included in our rate, was the best we had in this 3 weeks...

We walked to the ferry daily and the huge mall with a full grocery store, plenty of food options, and lots of opportunities for shopping. The one thing that was ridiculous was parking. There isn’t any! You pay to park at a lot around the block in addition to what you already paid for the room."

"The property was fine. Walls were a touch grubby, grouting round shower could use an upgrade and out kitchen tap leaked at the base. Also no plug provided for hand washing dishes. The towels were lovely and fluffy, but there were no pool towels provided nor spares, so in the event we had used the pool facilities, we would have had to use our bathroom towels. "The place is spacious and the beds are comfortable. Bathroom could be a little more brighter in fact the whole place is a little dim lighting. The downside of the apartment hotel system is the size of this place 74 floors! And over half are long term apartment hence you have half the people on holiday and the other half are residence type. The elevators can take some time given the number of people that stay there."

"Excellent location and across the road from Central Station. Perfectly good room. Only access to the lobby is up approx 8 steps which is difficult with a heavy suitcase. There is a small platform stairlift for wheelchair access but certainly not a very accessible place as you require to ask reception to use the stair lift. It is a heritage building hence steps up from street. All level once you are inside. I would stay here again but not if I was requiring a wheelchair or struggled with...
