We really enjoyed the lawn seating with umbrellas. There were tons of options to cool off. The hot tubs were also nice in the evening. Conveniently located near shops & dining. Recommend offering pool towels for use.

Great price for the area. Pools were clean. Bar staff were friendly. Everything we needed was within walking distance or a short drive. Beach was great. Free breakfast was delicious and helpful.

The property was clean and well kept. Staff was courteous. Outside areas were neat and well maintained. Location is is just right. Enjoyed the pool area. Very relaxing atmosphere. Only issue is with the cleaner used in the rooms. A little strong. Not sure of the fragrance. It’s not a bleach smell. Would prefer a bleach smell.

Our stay at the Dayton House Resort was absolutely fantastic! Our ocean-view room was fantastic and well worth it, and the location is impeccable, with easy access to many activities including malls, mini golf, the beach (obviously), restaurants, and more. The hotel's amenities were great, including the pools, hot tubs, and sauna. My only regret with staying here is that I didn't realize the pool bar's drinks were SO GOOD until the last day! We will definitely be returning.

Dayton House exceeded our expectations. Our room had recently been updated with new paint, furniture, and bathroom fixtures. I expected a rundown place, but they have updated most everything to make it very nice for the price. Dayton was clean and the pools were clean and warm. The coating of the bottom of the pools were sand color so first glance they looked dirty. They were clean. The hallway color next to the elevators was painted dark grey that made the hallways dark and cheap looking. I highly recommend to the management to paint that area a lighter color. Our particular room was on 3rd floor directly above the Yella Umbrella pool bar. It was pretty loud from people and music till about 11PM. 3rd floor is even with the top of the palm trees so if you pay more for a balcony ocean view, pick a 4th floor or higher room if you can. Breakfast was off sight, but it was excellent, and the staff was friendly. We would definitely stay there again but request a 4th floor or higher room.

I didn't like that we didn't know there wasn't any pool or beach towels. The TV was terrible, The bathroom wasn't very clean. I would have preferred plastic cups for the bathroom instead of using the dishes that didn't even have a dishwasher and WE were supposed to do all the dishes. How do we even know they were clean to begin with. The Breakfast was Very Good and the people working it were Very Nice!

Everything about this property was amazing! The south building that I stayed in was farely new and it was very cozy. It was clean and in good condition. I know some myrtle beach properties can be a little dated and old, but this one was really nice and clean. Ill definitely stay again and the free breakfast buffet was the icing on cake!

The tub was really slow to drain while taking showers, toilet paper is like sand paper, AC unit was loud, light bulbs missing out of lamps.

The property itself could use some renovations. The area around it is safe and walkable. The best thing about our stay was customer service. The evening manager Princess was amazing. I wish every property had a manager with such incredible customer service and communication skills.

Grounds are pretty and atmosphere fun! Beds could be softer but views beautiful and kitchen had everything we could need. Second time staying with Dayton House because of amenities, location and very friendly staff at the breakfast included every day! They need to have a cleaner clean the outside public bathroom daily though. Very dirty and smelly. Guests coming in before their rooms are ready have no choice but to use it. Truck stops are cleaner.
