Before I booked the room I spoke to someone on virtual support about getting the property tax back because alone it is 143$ beside a normal 43$ tax on top of it as well.they confirmed yes that I would .now after a week of getting a response ,now I’m being told no I can’t .even if I was paying a property tax,you’d think I’d get special treatment from room service of extra supplies and services .i stayed for 3 days and not once was I brought anything .then when I first arrived my key code did not work and had to be reset ,and on top of it all the parking is clear across the other side for dropping off luggage etc besides dropping it off front which you have no time to do so from little parking from other vacationers and no parking .and one last thing the front desk and or employees couldn’t help me in my room because it was controlled by 3rd party which is insane and I’ve never seen before which is a joke.if I would have knew I wasn’t getting my property tax back for no damges,cleaning the room myself and no self service I would not have stayed here.and I will not stay here again as well.keep your money and terrible service,train your employees correctly,rip off company

The entire property is nasty. I wouldn't suggest staying here. Our room had black mold in the bathroom going up the walls. The dust on the ceiling from the air vents was unreal and 4-5 feet out from the vents. The air return didn't have a filter, so it blew stuff everywhere. Our microwave didn't work and the light in the kitchen didn't work evern after a new bulb. It isn't maintained well at all. The hot tubs had so much soap build up from them never changing the water that they looked like bubble baths. The indoor pool was so cloudy you couldn't see the people in it's feet. It's a "resort" for lower class people if you know what i mean.The water park isn't included. Thats the other part they leave out. It's for the front resort. The ocean front part can't go to it. Like you can't buy a ticket. it's wild.

Well no where did it say if u book thru a third party that u don’t have access to the water park which was the only reason I booked at sand dunes. My grandkids were very disappointed and upset that they could go. I was suppose to have a 1bedroom condo but I had a 1room hotel room which was not the greatest!!!

Looked pretty good and view was excellent. Sleeper sofa wa VERYlumpy andhad bloo dtains on it. Bed in room had large piece of plastic hanging from it and in the bed covering who knows WHAT! We were bitten by bedbugs and aw roachs!!!

Very frustrating stay

We didn’t get any sleep from how uncomfortable the bed was. The parking is awful and the communication as to where the room was located was terrible. The ONLY part of this stay that was satisfying was the ocean view.

Would have been great if the room was cleaner

The navy blue bedspeads initially didn't look dirty but on close inspection they were filthy. There was dried on what looked like food and other various stains on them. The box spring cover had black stains on it. Bathtub did not drain well so dirty water would back up in the tub any where from 2 to 6 inches after a shower. Shower curtain liner at the bottom was dirty probably from hanging in the dirty backed up water. Toilet paper holder had some kind of debris on it. And the sliding door to the balcony was very difficult to close, it just wouldn't slide. I reported the drain and bedspread problems to Elliott rentals and they immediately sent someone over to unclog the drain and get the bedspreads, unfortunately the drain still drained slowly when taking a shower. The hotel itself was very nice and clean, in a good location, beautiful oceanfront views and cost was very reasonable for this time of year. Problem was the person who was responsible for cleaning this room. They needed to do a much better job cleaning and report any maintenance problems to the proper person. Tried to add photos couldn't get it to work for me.

Awesome vacation stay

My best friend and I stayed for a mini vacation there and it was great. Room was exactly as described in the booking. Price was great. Will definitely be booking there again.

Old building, not so clean

The pics of room were misleading. The bed was 4 feet from the door/hallway. Wind whistled through hallway door. Were told by another guest there was a break in at one room, also told by restaurant staff that someone was running around with a gun. Got real loud on Saturday, went home a day early. Balcony was only thing represented truthfully in pics. We went in February, expecting quiet relaxing trip. Guess dirty Myrtle is always wild. Sign in elevator says they spray for bugs monthly...saw at least 2 in our room.

Room unit was terrible. Small; old squeaky mattresses, found a cockroach, other bugs. Bare minimum on towel's, soaps, pillows. Balcony chairs very wobbly. Overall, you felt like you probably should not touch anything.

Delayed check in due to unit being extremely filthy because of previous guest. We arrived at 3 but wasn’t able to get in until 7! My aunt had to help the housekeeper clean! We had no choice but to wait on unit 701 because property was fully booked. Condo was nice and great location,

Very disappointing start to our vacation. Our room was nothing like any of the pictures that are shown on here. The room was dark and musty. The two beds had light blankets on them instead of comforters. The couch had tears in it. There was trash in the floor. The door to go outside to the oceanfront deck was broken and we could barely get it open to go in or out. Then I looked under the sink where you could tell water had been leaking and there were cockroaches. You would think that these rooms would be cleaned and checked every time before a new guest arrives. While this was handled and we got moved to a new room (in a totally different resort) it was very disappointing to have to go through after our long travel.

Bedspread and shower curtain were dirty to say the least. There was no response when reported to management. Linens were not in the unit when we arrived and much time was consumed contacting management for a resolution. The Sand Dunes property has many amenities and is an overall good place in general.

We get out the resort next day. I don't think should be a resort because everything there is so trast looking and smell terrible. Beds image dirty and feel like have bugs under the beds.

Myrtle Beach Room

We booked this hotel for a week at the beach. All the reviews we read were very bad. We went anyway because the price fit our budget. Upon arrival the room was clean and updated. Not like the reviews we read. There were sheets and towels provided. The resort also provided towels for the pool/beach. Our room was 1140. The management company was good too. They provided a bag with soap, toilet paper and trash bags. The AC worked well and did not have a mildew smell like some other rooms I’ve been to. The WiFi worked well for when we were taking a break from the sun. We enjoyed our stay!
