"The front desk clerk was very friendly at check-in and advised us of a wedding party staying at the hotel. This helped us mentally prepare for late-night noise in the hallways. Our room looked modern and tidy and had an updated bathroom with a nice walk-in shower. The only negative about the room was the HVAC unit, which kicked on like a jet engine throughout the night and somehow also managed to remain too warm for sleeping. When we put it at a certain temp, it changed itself from Air to Heat and emitted a noxious smell. The bed itself was pretty comfortable, but between the hallways noise and intermittent jet engine noise interspersed with complete silence, we did not sleep too well. The next morning, we had a wonderful brunch at the hotel restaurant. Where many hotels feature overpriced and underwhelming breakfast offerings, IHG pleasantly surprised us with reasonable prices and mouthwatering food in generous portions. We ordered the Belgian waffles, pancakes, bacon, and eggs (some of the best eggs I've ever had). Our wait staff was extremely friendly and warm. Besides the HVAC, the only other reason I'd deduct one star was the overall appearance of the hotel's exterior, which was showing signs of age. However, it was very convenient to wineries and downtown."
