My friends and I enjoyed our overnight trip to New Orleans. Sonder Vitascope was perfect! The location was centrally located, the space was clean and well decorated. Sonder provided great customer service, 5 stars!

Great location, loved the apartment, it was perfect for what we wanted! Gets loud at night just based on being downtown, but that's expected. Could use a little maintenance (needed some paint and a chair was broken) but nothing major.

Great property!! The only things that weren’t great were: 1. The parking situation (plus it’s hard to find the actual building. 2. The main bathroom shower had low water pressure and didn’t get hot. Overall it was a great stay and I would go back for sure!!

The apartment was very nice and had everything we needed for a short stay. The shower water was barely luke warm. If it’s hot in New Orleans, that’s fine, but it was cold and raining. Great location, but unsavory people hanging around outside selling pot and lots of homeless begging.

This property is perfect for a group of people. I didn’t need to speak to anyone throughout my stay. They gave clear instructions as to how to enter the building. I will say there are very few lockers to count on the locker hold before check In. The AC worked but the front bedroom wasn’t as cool as the rest of the apartment. The elevators worked the entire time. There’s multiple stores and culture right below you so you have everything you need! I would recommend and stay there again!

The room was really nice and clean. The hall way to the elevator was trashed. I did receive a subtle form of communication to pardon the inconvenience the property waa under construction. Had I know that I would have opted to stay a a local hotel with all the hotel amenities you could ask for. This property will be nice after the construction. The inconvenience of zero concierge service staying at this property was a waste of money and frankly very disaapointing. The first I've seen from a Sonder's property.

Right on Canal and Royal, easy walking to everywhere in the French Quarter, as well as to the WW2 Museum, and immediate access to all street car lines! Overall the apartment was amazing, just small things, like unleveled refrigerator that wobled, loose control cover on dishwash, and unleveled washing machine that was pretty loud. Otherwise, amazing place!

Parking not very easy or cheap but was accessible, once discovered. Floors need cleaning. Visually the appear clean, but are not. Need smart tvs in All rooms. Remote missing back cover, door lock plastic piece falls off door. Entry hallway to building needs a sign that says “lobby” & “elevator”

Vitascope is located in the ideal spot. It’s located next to a restaurant and convenient store. It’s only a few blocks from Bourbon Street. The inside is quiet and you don’t hear all the noise from the street. I had two concerns. Food was accidentally left out and ants were coming out of the wall for the food. To stop the ants I had to put a line of dish soap in the crack by the sink which helped. The other concern was having directions on how to work the television. It would have been nice to watch tv while eating a late night snack. Those two things aren’t deal breakers, so I will definitely stay here again.

The key pad to get into the building is difficult. You have to push the numbers several times before they will light up. We saw many people have the same issues. We did not get warm water for most of the time and had to take an ice cold shower one of the days. I would not stay there again.

Beautiful place and location. No TV or parking.

It is a very nice apartment located in an excellent location. It was perfect for what we needed. There were three things that I did not love about it. First, if you have a car know that you will be on your own to find parking which can be fairly expensive and not very close to the apartment. We paid $40 for a garage lot About five blocks away. Second, the keypad to get into the building can be a little bit difficult. It took me several times for me to get the hang of it. The third thing was that there is a TV in the apartment, however, there is no service provided. The only way you can watch the television is to cast from your mobile phone. For such a nice place you would expect there to be at least basic cable or satellite. The casting for us did not work very well for some of the apps we tried to use.

Beautiful apartment in perfect location

The apartment was lovely and located in the perfect spot for watching most Mardi Gras parades that came down Canal. Perfect location for doing anything in the French Quarter. Parking options near by. Overall it was a great place. The only issue was the lack of on-site management because we had 4 adult staying for two nights and they gave us two towels. After a long day of travel and then trying to enjoy the evening, we were not able to shower. After multiple calls and chat messages where they were telling us where to find extra towels, we discovered that there were no extra towels. Initially, they said they would get us more towels within 24 hours. We could not wait that long to shower. Finally someone agreed to get us our towels in the morning. They showed up just before noon with two more towels and detergent pods so we could wash our towels if we needed fresh towels for later in the stay. Had to plan part of our weekend around towel deliveries and washing and drying towels. They offered a $50 credit for a future stay for our troubles. A $50 credit in the future given the price of their rentals isn’t really helpful. If they wanted to give $50 for our troubles, it should be a refund or something more useful than $50 for some possible future booking.

Cool place but needed more details

The place is very nice and clean. Here are the cons. I was upset to find out that the elevator is hidden in the back hallway behind a doorway that is not labeled so I walked up and down 4 flights of stairs until I was on the 4th floor one time and head the elevator ring and it’s when I found it. The body wash dispenser in the master bathroom was not working. The AC is super loud and makes it difficult to sleep. The last bedrooms with the windows was always warm even though the rest of the apartment was cold. The TV does not have any channel available. Only a screen saver with pictures. Finally, the hotel should advise that there is not way to park and unload in front or on the side of the building. The only parking lots are at least 1.5 blocks away and due to street work, it was a nightmare.

Wanted to love this property because it is exactly like in the pictures but the lack of basic amenities made the experience less than acceptable. Hot water wasn’t available each morning for hours at a time. Elevator was either non-functional and we were trapped in twice. There was no person on staff present to help or repair elevator. There’s an online chat service for customer support. These issues were reported to them but none were fixed. On the day of departure I had to all the luggage down 4 flight of stairs. The emergency call buttons didn’t work at any floor; I tried them on each floor prior to leaving hoping for someone to come help. I don’t know safety laws for Louisiana but it sure doesn’t look safe especially if there are people with disabilities and/or children living on any floors besides 1st floor. Overall, I won’t recommend this because of the lack of attention to safety.
