"Although check-in was scheduled for 3:00 PM, I arrived at 3:15 PM to find a sign stating that staff had stepped away. Along with another guest, I waited for over 30 minutes without assistance. We eventually had to call the district manager, who was forced to send a staff member from a nearby Residence Inn to check us in.
Furthermore, the bathtub in my room had a section with a surface that felt like sandpaper, making it very uncomfortable to use. As a frequent guest at Marriott properties, I found this experience to be well below the standard I expect. I was offered no sincere apology or compensation for the significant delay and poor service during my stay. Staff not friendly at all. For this to be my home city it was very disappointing and embarrassing. I will never stay at another Fairfield.
