"The majestic old hotel might be dated to some, but there is a lot of character on show. The staff were excellent, even during storm Boelo when there were power issues and access difficulties with fallen trees. They quietly put on free tea and coffee for stranded guests waiting for the road to reopen. Evening meal was excellent, fish and chips excellent again. Breakfast was varied and plentiful, lots of good options, fresh scrambled egg, but sausages let it down as none of us could determine any flavour to them. Bedrooms in the garden wing are dated, but great if you want a bath. Beds as always were massive and gave excellent support."

"First class hotel & resort. Having stayed in the hotel previously we decided to book a self catering cottage this time around, you still get full access to the spa & hotel facilities & activities. Staff are really friendly on hand to get you anything you require during your stay, couldn’t do enough for you. Did not disappoint the cottages are clean cosy modern & fully kitted out with everything you Could possibly need, home away from home. We were greeted with a bottle of champagne & cookies for the children on arrival along with some other goodies for the kids, little touches like this makes all the difference. Defiantly be returning."

"When we arrived early, Nicola at reception checked if our room was ready and got us booked in and up to the room ahead of check in time. This helped massively as we were going to a party. The breakfast was excellent and the only criticism was that the property needs a bit of TLC. The water temperature fluctuated a bit in the shower and the fans were a little noisy but overall a good stay."

"Booking a room with a Seaview is a must when staying here...we only had dinner and breakfast twice , really enjoyed what he had, the buffet breakfast being hot was bonus too ..young girl Olivia is an asset to the place and couldn't help us enough...we will definitely be back x"

"The staff are amazing, as is the food and drink. It’s clean, but in my opinion it’s a little stuck in the 80’s. I’ve heard of apexing on a ceiling, but never a wall, could really do with a lick of paint to say the least. Nonetheless, clean and tidy enough to stay."
