Really good hotel with a large complex including pools, play area, running course, gym and spa area. There are a couple of shops on the ground floor for souvenirs and booking tours. Staff were very friend and helpful. There is a security check at the entrance and also scanners before entering the hotel. I was travelling for work and my hand tools were not allowed on the hotel. This was slightly unusual but understandable.

Very clean. Polite stuff and a walking distance to Namibia Street less than 10 minutes to the airport.

Excellent hotel, staff, rooms, service etc. In the best central area of the city. I will be staying here again.

Mado Hotel is an oasis in the hectic city of Addis Ababa. The location of the property is second to none and the design and ergonomics of the furniture etc is comfortable for long stay customers. I have stayed in several hotels in Addis Ababa (visited 13 times) and this has to be my favourite. The staff are welcoming, warm, helpful and professional. The steam and sauna located in the wellness centre is fit for purpose and truly relaxing. I recommend this illustrious property.

They offer free hot breakfast and they are available to help around the clock. It is cleaned daily.

We went for a deluxe room and it was amazing - very, very spacious, the biggest room I've ever stayed in and great value for money in comparison to some other places in Addis. The only thing to improve is the temperature as it was very cold in there and I don't mean the aircon. Our room was very cold because the windows didn't close properly and in the bar and lobby downstairs there's constant draught because of the entrance doors.
