Clean, good facilities, very friendly staff and tasty breakfast

The hotel was excellent even though remodelling was taking place on one floor. The 'new' rooms are first class. and in brand new condition. Absolute delight to stay there. Staff very helpful.

I had a lovely stay in this hotel for my sons graduation. The decor was a bit dated but everything was in good working order and of a very high standard of cleansiness. Staff were friendly and I would stay here again

we had a great stay, the room was an excellent size, great facilities and very clean. Loved the fact that there was a laundry room, it was a welcome sight when we arrived as my son had been ill in the car and his clothes were not in great shape. There was a continental breakfast, the offerings were little light just waffles and porridge, no bread or cheese. Overall and excellent stay.

A very pretty building, the rooms are a bit dated but clean and the bed was comfortable. The site said the bed was a double but it was a king size, there were non smoking rooms available too that were not listed on the site. Family run very good value for money.

From the moment I arrived at the Merit Inn I was made to feel like I was at home.OK,its not what you call posh, but for me it felt better than any hotel I have ever stayed at,talking of 3 and 4 Stars, give me the Merit any time.As I was staying for 2 weeks they put a Microwave in my room, but there is microwave also on the landing.I did find the shop on the ground floor very useful,it had every think one needs. Directly across the road is a coffee shop, come eating.open 24/7.."KRUZIN'S" I eat there...
