"This is a perfectly servable older style Motel, while it is dated it is clean and functional. The guest laundry only being accessible 'by appointment' is not at all convenient.
Parking is good but more care should be taken to do the small things. e.g. the ashtray out the front of my unit had the same cigarette butts in it for 3 days. There were their when I arrived and never moved."

"I had a wonderful stay at Pen-y-bryn Lodge.
The property is a beautiful historic building with a peaceful atmosphere, and the room was spacious, spotless, and full of character. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, making the stay feel warm and personal. Overall, a fantastic experience — I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone visiting Oamaru."

"One of the best motel we have ever stayed.
The staff is very great, and helpful.
The room is 5 stars. We love the spa bath.
It's relatively new room and very very clean.
Near to the town center, and lots of restaurants.
Will stay there again for sure."
