My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Poggio del Drago - Emanuele is a perfect host and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The room itself was lovely - recently renovated and looking lovely. The pool is perfectly located, overlooking the olive groves and with plenty of loungers for all guests. Possibly the friendliest welcome I've ever had in a hotel, and I've stayed in a fair few! Beautiful location in a sleepy town. Our room was perfect, overlooking the gorge which cuts through thetown. Pizzeria next door is fabulous too :-)

I had a great staying at Hotel Santo Stefano. The staff is absolutely wonderful; I travelled by public transport and they came to pick me up and take me back to the bus stop. The rooms are very spacious and confortable. The hotel has got a restaurant which is very handy when you have spent a day at the Archive and you are too tired to go out. Thumbs up for Hotel Santo Stefano!

She noticed we had booked an apartment without a kitchen and gave me the option to swap which we appreciated. We didn't have air conditioning but with the amazing old buildings, built with thick stone walls, we only felt we needed it when the temperature reached over 35 degrees. Again the host allowed us to swap rooms. The place is near a main road which we got used to after the first...

We had an absolutely incredible stay at Viesca. The setting is beautiful. The photos don't do it justice. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Concetta welcomed us and kindly showed us around, talked us through the facilities... The pool is lovely, and it was great to be able to play tennis as well. We did not try any of the spa treatments, but there was a really good selection available. Breakfast was varied and delicious.
