Hotels.com sold a room in a hotel room in a hotel that was closed. Drove 2 hours to get there to find this out. Then drove another 2 hours to another hotel. Incredibly frustrating that the hotel owners and management do not notify hotels .com of these closures. 0/10 stars for Motel 6 or Super 8 in Albert Lea (the current is motel 6 which is closed for construction. However maps show that location as a super 8.) it was a terrible experience at 9:30pm that has scared me away from hotels.com all together.

had a step to enter building.this made it difficult. room was filthy and ventilation very poor. air conditioner didnt work well. Staff friendly is only good with this hotel

Do not stay here

First I would like to state up front that the 2 front desk ladies were amazing and they did what they could despite what I am about to say because they did not have any control over this. This motel was terrible. The room was damaged, the outside security locks smashed so anyone could come in and out, no fridge or microwave in my room despite paying extra for one. One of the front desk ladies did eventually deliver one to my room. Other people staying on the 3rd floor where I was, let their pets roam in the hallway. One side of the building's stairs were ripped out and it smelled like dog/cat urine. I was told the motel was full that night so I couldn't be moved to a different room. But the final straw was when a guy pounded on my door asking for a lighter and held up his meth pipe in my peephole. The front desk gal did book a stay for me at one of their sister hotels nearby but this whole ordeal was unacceptable. The GM/owner of this building should shut down the motel until they have repaired all things that need to be repaired/replaced, Starting with the outside security locks first. As a solo female traveler, I did not feel safe here and would recommend anyone who's looking to stay here to spend a few extra dollars and book somewhere else. As a GM/owner, you should be ashamed of yourselves for allowing people to stay here despite knowing the condition your motel is in.

The only 2 bath towels, no wash cloths, no hand towels. Hair in tub. Alarm kept going off in the middle of the night. The TV was messed up. No elevator, our room was on the 3rd floor.

What i liked, it was a few doors down from Perkins Family Restaurant. What we didn't like. I would not recommend this motel to anyone. The lobby & the room, was not at all like the pictures online. Everything in the room needed to be replaced or updated. It was tired.Especially the toilet seat, which had gouges in it. We had to put a towel to stand on in the tub, due to the stains, etc.#204. The bed skirt was oversized & a trip hazard. The people above us were noisy. We left at 6am, we had a poor night's sleep. We didn't feel comfortable staying any longer, than we had to.

This property is no longer even a real motel. There is no one at the front desk and they don't answer the phone they say to pick up & call. When I finally got help, the room had flies all over it. The building is mostly occupied by people who do not appear to be hotel guests - it is housing locals from the community. When I returned to my room, my key card would no longer open the door and I could not access my room or belongings. Nobody was at the desk and no one answered the phone to help. Constant noise above my room throughout the night made it almost impossible to sleep. Although I could not get a refund, I did not stay at the property the second night because the experience did not feel entirely safe. This was the worst motel experience of my life. Expedia should remove this property from their website immediately.

We needed a night’s sleep and nothing more so stayed here based on recent positive experiences at other Motel 6 locations. There were several people loitering in the parking lot and the lock on the side door wasn’t working so I’m glad my husband was with me. The room was fine and to be expected for the price but the curtains were completely sheer. Finally the AC was insanely loud and the mattress was older so sleep was hard to come by. Spend a few more dollars elsewhere.
