"Vila Luz is a great family hotel. We stayed in the upper section which has an extremely heated pool. A bit warm when the temperature is over 30celsius, great when the temperature dropped to 20celcius. The bigger, lower pool is less heated and great when it's very hot. "Unfortunately we seem to have been given the worst unit despite all the others being empty! No heater, broken shower head, shower draining too slowly to cope with the flow, table dangerously unstable, toilet consistently running, bench sofas which weren’t comfortable at all. "

"The property and pool are both very nice and the views are amazing. The room we had was very dated, the bed was low and quite hard, there was no shower curtain so water sprayed all over the bathroom, and there was a slight smell of sewage coming from the toilet area. I think this was just particular to our room so I don't want to deter you from giving it a try because it's got some really good things as I mentioned above.
