"Our room with a/c and ceiling fan, contained a large bed, tables, chairs, fridge, kettle and sink with separate toilet/ wet room. Settee outside on the verandah, large ground space from where you can view the sea, restaurant, promenade. Nice helpful staff. "

"We were very disappointed with many things... firstly the hotel needs to work on its maintenance part. The bathroom showers were broken n tap nozzles were too tight n clogged pores... could not take shower the first day. Then we complained they repaired it. The staff was sooo undertrained and raw.. And i feel they should atleast be aware of the hotel little basic know how... whm we were asking the staff about the property.. they gave us a blank look.. seemed very clueless The lady staff...

"Had a wonderful 1 night stay in gokulam grand in kovalam. Staff were very kind and welcoming. Service was fantastic. Our room was very clean and well maintained. My only criticism is that the activity room could be maintained better. Only the table tennis, foosball and pool table were somewhat usable. The tv didn't work, no proper board games and AC didnt work either. "

"Everything has an old look in the cottage - the view was good but everything from the aircon to fittings were really old and worn out. Getting a Uber from the hotel is a real challenge as there are regular taxi drivers who charge triple the rate waiting at the entrance to turn away our booking. Really frustrating when the hotel can’t help us with this matter."

"Main Pool, Gym and Bar were under maintenance however, make shift arrangements were available. I would have preferred if this was informed at the time of booking. Apart from this, Front Desk, Room Service, Restaurant crew were fablulous and went out of the way to make us feel comfortable. "

"Spotlessly clean hotel, attentive staff nothing is a problem. Room fine, A/C and ceiling fan , TV which you can access Prime and Netflix if you have an account. Wet room shower with plenty of hot water, some rooms have balconies, so check when booking.Complimentary breakfast was freshly prepared and excellent. Hotel located on the beach, beach is worked by the local fishermen upto about 11:00 most days, very little hassle from beach hawker’s. Four or five restaurants within easy walking, loads...

"If you want the sound of breaking waves 200 metres away, a spacious room, a big balcony (this time with a view of the bay and beach); a two minute walk to the sand and the sea and the lovely Kovalam beach; coconut trees all around and lots of local people enjoying the happy life, this is for you. It’s a very Kerala hotel, dark wood, space and carved wood. Friendly staff. It coups do with a bit of modernisation, but what you need will work. It’s very personal. I hade been there a year before...

"De locatie voor bezienswaardigheden is heel goed. Hotel is zeer gedateerd, oud en smerig. Hygiënisch is het ook heel slecht. In badkamer hing aanhoudend riolering lucht. Je moet vragen voor room cleaning. Geen waterkoker aanwezig, op verzoek werd er 1 gebracht, kamer was niet schoon. Op verzoek werd het wel schoon gemaakt. Heel mooie balkon met een prachtige uitzicht, maar vies tot en met. Ontbijt stelde niks voor heel karig. Wij gingen naar een andere restaurant voor onze dagelijkse ontbijt. "

"Bedsheets were not changed before our arrival. We had to ask twice for them to be changed. Room was comfortable but not clean. Attention to detail would make the stay that much more enjoyable. "
