"Our stay at Kairos Tropea was perfect, we arrived to find a clean and modern room, house keeping and staff were excellent with us and ontop of everything, we found the location to be excellent. a short walk to the center and also close to many Lidos. Another great amenity was the onsite parking available which was something we desperately needed due to the nature of our trip in Calabria. Paolo was able to accommodate this and always made sure we had an accessible and safe spot to leave our vehicle. As for the staff Rosella was a gem who was constantly making sure we had everything we could need or want. Paolo himself was great with us and we highly recommend booking an additional tour with him. We took a private tour along the coast which was unbelievable. Over the week we stayed Paolo became a dear friend to us as im sure he does with most guests and we will certainly be back again. Cannot recommend this place enough . 10/10 thankyou Kairos for an amazing stay"

"The highlight of staying here was the delicious restaurant (la locanda) — we ate there two of our three nights and both meals were great! the property is not really close to / walkable to the beach (Riaci Beach). we did it on the first day and while it’s only a little over a kilometer away there are many hills to navigate and would not recommend it. The room and shower were smaller than expected from the photos online (the outdoor terrace was bigger than the room) unfortunately it was too hot when we visited to really enjoy any outdoor space (also it’s not very private…). Pool was lovely and cocktails poolside were very nice!"

"This is a lovely property. Our air conditioner did not work and they moved us to an upgraded room for the last 2 nights. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. Our room was clean and the view was beautiful of the sea, though further away than we thought. A few cons. There is no beach access here at all.Some of the descriptions are misleading. You cannot walk into town or to the beach on the very busy roads, it’s a long walk and dangerous. We were able to Uber back and forth without any issues. There is no spa but the pool is beautiful. The service at the pool is understaffed. Were were there in mid May off season. We were told they were open from 11-7 but when we asked for service for coffee at 12:15p we were told they didn’t open until 12:30 and no one came until 12:45p. One night we didn’t feel well and wanted to order in but no one could help us with that. We We found an app and ordered only for it to be cancelled after 25 minutes. There is no one at the reception desk available after 9 pm. I would hope in the future to see a little more available in the reception area like snacks and coffee. A shuttle to and from town/beach would also be appreciated. There is a lot of potential for this property and Tropea is stunning and still untouched by Americans (which we are) and annoying crowds so go now if you can. "

"We had a good time here, but this property has the potential to be so much more. Location is prime and the views are absolutely stunning. The hotel is definitely dated and ready for a renovation. Rooms and bathrooms are showing their age and so are the beds, linen and towels. Front desk and transportation staff go through the motions and can use refresher customer service training. They seem to be complacent and happy to host tour groups and just do enough to get by. The shuttle to the beach never seemed to be available. The driver had to go downtown, recharge the golf cart, pick up people, or do something else. The few times we asked, the answer was always negative and there was not even any attempt to apologize for the service not being available in a timely fashion. We drover our car down to the beach next door, but never set foot on the hotel beach. The restaurant staff was much nicer and helpful. Food variety was very good. Food quality was what you can expect from a hotel buffet. Some good, some bad, none really excellent, but mostly adequate. The view and the hotel grounds made up for the deficiencies, but management and the ownership group can make lots of improvements and upgrade this property to a much higher level that maximizes its prime location. Don't forget to visit the Tropea historic center and the beaches. Tropea was supposed to be a pit stop on our trip and became a highlight. It is a beautiful town with friendly people and lovely beaches. "
