"The room was nice. Clean and comfortable. I don't understand some negative reviews. Yes, it's not the newest, but the property is really nice, the view is stunning and location is good, just 20 minutes walking to the promenade with restaurants and 3 minutes to the airport. Breakfast in the morning is really good, with some nice bakery and hot food like eggs and bacon. Plus you can sit outdoor on the terrace, facing the pool and the airport bay while having breakfast. Overall is a good hotel.. It would be excellent if it gets renovated a bit. It's not cheap, but other hotels in Skiathos were way more expensive during the high season. (July). Don't trust bad reviews... Most of the times are written by I brainless Italians who are spoiled and arrogant (and I am Italian too)."

"Amazing staff who were very pleasant and happy to help. We were picked up from the airport by Diamond (not sure if that’s spelt correctly) who drove us straight to the hotel. We had a gorgeous town view, which was breathtaking. The room was well equipped and exactly as described. Breakfast was basic but plentiful and tasty and was taken on the roof terrace, which had equally lovely views. Much recommended for a short stay in Skiathos town."

"Great hotel with beautiful high ceilings in the bedrooms and modern, clean interiors. Two large pools and plenty of deckchairs available. Location is ideal, less than a 10 minute walk to the busy area of the town but feels relatively quiet and relaxed. Katerina and her family are friendly, welcoming hosts."

"The apartment was kept spotlessly clean and the staff were very pleasant and helpful There was adequate Aircon across the whole of the apartment. The apartment is in an excellent location in a quiet area but on the edge of where the action is. It is easy to get to and from the apartment without any step climbs."

"We stayed at Alkyon Hotel for 3 nights before travelling on to Skopelos and I couldn’t recommend this hotel more! It was so convenient being 5 minutes drive from the airport and on the sea front. It was less than 5 minutes walk from the main strip of restaurants along the front of the port but slightly out of the main town area so was quiet at night. The main bus stop for the town is right outside too which was great. The staff are fantastic! Evi at reception was extremely helpful, booking our Lalaria boat trip and a restaurant for us during our stay. They were also able to recommend a sheltered beach for us to visit on a windier day which we had a lovely time at, and there is always a member of staff to greet you at the entrance. The hotel and room itself was always clean and our balcony had a view of the sea which was great! The buffet breakfast was superb with a huge choice of food and is located upstairs so has an amazing view out to sea while you eat. The bar area downstairs was also lovely and had a great choice of cocktails. Although we didn’t use the pool much due to being so busy in our short stay, it seemed very nice with lots of sun loungers and chairs around. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay - I would definitely stay at Alkyon Hotel again and recommend to friends!"

"The rooms are well appointed, there is a cute pool with a small bar. The breakfast is vast, fresh, and there are options for everyone. The staff led by Effie are absolutely spectacular. They exude the definition of Greek Filoxenia. I would recommend for all type of vacationers. It is also very well located next to a large supermarket and just a few hundred meters from the main port. If you are looking for a relaxing stay, with the classic Greek hospitality, this is it. And this island does not disappoint. Huge thumbs up! I will be back next year!"
