"A beautiful old stone building that has been stylishly decorated to provide several en-suite guest rooms. We only stayed for one night but wish we’d had more time here. This family run accommodation has a very homely atmosphere and is in easy walking distance to the lake, the castle and the Basilica di Santa Cristina. Our host gave us information about what to see in the town and where to eat as well as great suggestions for stop offs on our onward destination. "

She could tell me the hotel was closed for winter but she had an other hotel in town called Hotel Platani Bolsena. "What a wonderful experience. We rolled into Bolsena on a whim in a Friday evening in April. The place we’d booked online was closed! So we found Casa di Agatha online and made a reservation. When we pulled up is was dark and also looked closed, but soon Tiziano pulled up to let us in. The rooms are in a very old and beautifully preserved building. Each are thoughtfully decorated with antiques and hand painted ceilings. The bathrooms are lovely with modern provisions, but also elegantly decorated in a manner that matches the theme and time. Sera greeted us for THE most amazing breakfast. We will dream of those fresh lemon and cream pastries and cappuccinos forever! Thanks for the late accommodations and wonderful hospitality on our honeymoon, Richard and Shannon Ross"
