It was a pleasant experience. I happened to be staying there when hurricane Sally hit. My room stayed fine. However, the lobby was damaged by the winds and rain, lost power and water. The staff and manager on hand were excellent. They didn’t act frazzled or anxious. They took care of matters and us guests. I really enjoyed the history of the hotel, too.
People are nice. The rooms are nothing special. Very out dated. Bed is comfortable but they give you the thinnest “blanket” ever. You’re either waking up freezing at 3 am or hot because you had to leave it at 74. If you’re intown for the beach just find something around the beach you have to cross two bridges to get back to the hotel
Beautiful old hotel. Loved the history and historic beauty. However, the room was a non-smoking room but smelled like cigarette smoke. There was also not a coffee maker in the room. The room could have used a little updating. We stayed in one of the executive rooms. But still loved the stay and would stay again if we travel to Pensacola.
I had reservations about 3 weeks ago for one night. 3 hours before check in i get an email my reservations has been canceled. No phone call. I had to call to ask why. Not good customer service
Everything was great from staff to service. Through these tough times, this location stepped up with a welcoming attitude.

Not good!
The hotel leaked qater from the ceiling in turned froze the ac unit that xause us to be uncomfortable the last two days. They wanted us to change rooms at 2 am. We asked if we could just sleep in the cool room snd move our stuff the next day when we checked out but was told we had to move everything. At 2am in the freaking morning!
First was disappointed the hotel was not really in the historic area but close. It was probably a 15 minute walk which wasn't huge no problem walking but disappointing since we thought we'd be in the heart of the area.
I felt the property looked very tired. All areas in need of painting and general upkeep. When we checked in there was no bellman on staff to help with our luggage.

In fairness, this property is suffering from the health concerns going on in most of the world. They treated me the best they could and I only stayed there overnight so I could come home. Printing this review wouldn't do anyone any good
Nice old hotel. Like stepping back in time. Rooms were nice. Shower was terrible. Coffee, not so much. Thankfully located in downtown close to food and beverages.
Lovely hotel. Front desk personnel were friendly and courteous. Rooms were clean, spacious, comfortable and even smelled nice. Room service was fast and tasty. WiFi and parking were free. I would definitely stay again!

We were amazed to be able to stay in this historic hotel.
OLD TRAIN DEPOT, KINDA COOL. THE DOORS MOSTLY USED TO BRING IN LUGGAGE ARE HEAVY HARD TO MANUVER WITH A CART FULL OF BAGS. SHOULD BE AUTOMATIC. PARKING IS AT THE FAR END OF THE PROPERTY, UNLESS HANDICAPPED, LONG WALK BUT NOT HORRIBLE.
We love everything about the Pensacola Grand. We've been staying there since 1985. We especially the employees! They always go out of their way to make our stay wonderful.

The not-so-grand Grand Hotel
The photos on this website are deceiving
This is a Gran Hotel by history and namesake only. At best, it’s equal to a super 8 motel on the interior.
The bones of this building are super cool- with a grand lobby and support spaces which include a bar (didn’t see inside this space) but time and a real need for renovation cannot be dismissed. It’s a little sad and not very clean.

Great service by all staff! Bar food and atmosphere was amazing. Room service was incredible!
This hotel is adorable. It appears to have been an old train station. The rooms are a little dated but we’re very clean. I would definitely stay again.

Good stay, good hotel
okay hotel with good location in Pensacola. Smelled weed in the hallway by elevator, did let staff know but don’t know if they did anything about it. We checked in minutes before a large group of actors for the musical Cats, their rooms were not ready for check-in at check in time. When we checked out the next day, we were informed that we had already checked out (?), our room service was not in the receipt, but charged to our cards. Front desk staff might need some extra training. Overall a good stay, just little hick-ups.
Hotel muito velho, fiquei num quarto com vista pro cemitério. Acústica péssima, escutei tudo do quarto vizinho. Aqui no hotéis.com diz que tem traslado para o aeroporto mas eles não oferecem mais esse serviço
So Beautiful! We were booked at another smaller hotel for 3 nights, for our trip. After waking up to a bad discovery the first morning, we made a new reservation here, packed up and moved to this wonderful hotel. Beautiful! Accommodating!! Clean!! We were so impressed, no more staying in the previous areas. This is our new go-to when visiting our family in the area! Love it!!

Train Station Pensacola Grand Hotel
Hotels.com provided a good price. The site was very easy to use. The hotel room was in need of updating and a little cleaning. The lighting in the bathroom was extremely poor. There was hair on the shower wall and soap scum and hair in the soap dish. The tub had a soap ring in it. Obviously it hadn't been cleaned. The worst was the TRAIN! ATTENTION future guests there are train tracks that follow directly in front of the hotel with an active train that crosses at night. Horn blowing and all. We asked for a quiet room and were placed directly over the train tracks because we reserved a King room. We had no idea the King rooms in the hotel are situated directly facing the tracks. We would have taken a Queen room had we been informed. They offered earplugs for the train after we were rolled out of bed by the train sounding off right under our window. Obviously they have had other complaints about the noise before. Other than that, the hotel is convenient to restaurants. Dharma Blue, McGuire's, and Carrabba's are all within a 10 minute walk which was nice. The first floor of the hotel was pretty. There is a lot of old wood work in the first floor bar. You can envision where once this place was an old train station. Another bit of history we didn't know. The staff informed us they are also undergoing some renovations. I hope a part of that is being invested in sound-proof glass. This place could be really pretty with some updating and sound-proofing.
