"Perfectly central, near places of interest, restaurants and shops; 24 hour minimart few doors down. On the river for the bridge, boats and walking to all central locations. Helpful and friendly staff. Spacious suite and bathroom and a relaxed cultural feel to the hotel. Would happily stay here again."
"This property is unique, we absolutely loved it
It is a perfect location and the staff are fabulous and really helpful
If you are expecting a 4 star hotel this is not it, but if you want to stay in a place that has so much old world charm and character then this is the place for you, absolutely fabulous"
"Location great. River just over the road. Main town a few minutes walk.
The decor of the hotel almost put me off booking as it’s really not my style but I’m glad I went ahead and stayed. It was very comfortable, clean and quiet. Room was very spacious, as was the bathroom. Large windows so plenty of natural light, able to be opened a little too. Staff were helpful and friendly. 7/11 right across the road plenty of places to eat nearby. Would stay again."
"The hot water to the property was problematical.
We asked for the sink in the bathroom to be fixed but it didnt happen in the week that we were there."

"Fantastic hotel in brilliant location. Facilities were excellent and staff lovely especially Sheila in the executive lounge , Harith and Wan. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon. "
"This was our second stay at the Marion. It's like spending the night at the museum. You can read the history of the original owner if you spend a few minutes at the waterfront Chinese Heritage Museum. The hotel is very close to bars and restaurants on Carpenter St. that can be noisy on occasion. We have stayed in the Chapel wing both stays and we're not bothered by street noise. If noise bothers you you may want to choose a room towards the rear of the property. Seems like people either love or hate this property. Place us with those who love it "
"Walkable distance to many places of interest, the room is clean & comfortable. The only let down is the hotel don’t provide cashless transactions option"
