Really needs a refresh up - our lounge was covered in a random mattresses protector that did not match. It was clean - a long walk to Macrossan Street and beach. Lovely friendly and efficient staff.

Had a great stay recently at Freestyle. It's clean and comfortable and the rooms had everything we needed. Pool was heated, which was nice. Location is great, only a short walk to the beach and not much further to town. Anne was super helpful with information about where to eat, tours, transport and anything else we asked about. Would definitely stay her again.

Family holiday with 4 month old

We had a fantastic stay at Freestyle resort. Excellent location, walking distance to shops, beach and marina. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. Anne was lovely and very helpful, providing us with a porta cot and baby bath for our 4 month old baby. The pool was great, our baby had her first ever swim in it and she loved it. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Port Douglas 😊

The location was perfect. We walked to the main strip. Parking was convenient but not easy if you have a large car. We had are own balcony which we took advantage for eating meals. The pool is also lovely. I was concerned at first at the cooling system. There was an a/c unit and a fan in each of the main rooms. It felt warm when we first entered, but I was able to sleep comfortably.

1 br unit was a little on the small side. Not much room for clothes, bags. Bed was a bit hard for us but the shower had good pressure. Kitchen is tiny but full size fridge and good pantry size. No fly screens on any window/door which was annoying. Pool was heated and warm enough to swim even though the weather was cool. It was pretty good value comparative to what else was available in PD. Manager, Anne was lovely and helpful. Walking distance to town and beach and reasonably quiet. Parking was an issue with only 10 spaces for 32 units? On street parking had difficult access.

Property owner at front desk was very nice and super helpful. Gave us a lot of great tips and got us back to the airport on time when we couldn’t get an Uber! Large, clean room and nice pool area. Rustic but charming and close enough to be able to walk to main area with restaurants and shops. We enjoyed our stay!

Freestyle is NOT your average hotel or apartment rental! It is the best of both worlds. Family of 4 stayed in 2-bedroom x 5 nights mid-summer wet season, with day trips to Daintree and to reef dives. ANNE is the local friend you didn't know you needed! From grocery and restaurant tips, to loaning a USB adapter to offering to exchange $1 coins for the on-site washer/dryer facility, SHE is what turns a good holiday into a REMARKABLE one! Room, property, parking and pool all stellar. We will be back in Port Douglas again to stay @ Freestyle!

Fabulous Resort

During 2 months in Australia the Freestyle Resort is the best hotel I stayed at. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions and bookings. The owner, Anne was always available for assistance of any kind. I felt like I was at home, not in a hotel. My apartment consisted of one bedroom, large bathroom, living room and small kitchenette with a nice-sized balcony.. Everything was there to make me feel comfortable and at home. The apartment was spotlessly clean, and well decorated to create a resort apartment. There was even a drying rack for my laundry. I was there for a week I was close to the beach and the town. but just far enough away to sit quietly at night listening to the birds. Short walks. Most importantly as I was a woman travelling on my own, I always felt safe and secure, both in the resort and walking on the streets. Highly recommended by me.

The property was dated and overpriced for what it was. We arrived for our 5 night stay and the room we were given had a tap that wouldn't turn off in the bathroom and would Hebel kept us awake overnight. When we reported it we were told they were aware, but didn't get it fixed as they didn't want to have to turn the water off. Did not offer resolution until I asked if we could swap to another room. Limited power points, in bedroom, pay laundry only at $4 per load. Bathroom fan didn't work, lounge fan faulty. No dining table, no oven. Every footstep or noise from room upstairs could be heard. The upside was that the pool was fabulous

Das Appartement hat eine gute Lage. Alles ist in kurzer Zeit zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Besitzer sind super nett und hilfsbereit. Der Pool hat verschiedene Tiefen und es macht Spaß, darin zu baden. Es ist eine schöne Anlage, die allerdings etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist.
