"The room was amazing and such a welcome spot to arrive to. The radio was on which made it so warm and cozy. There’s a small refrigerator, everything I could have needed to make coffee or tea, a clothes steamer, hair dryer. A comfy bed. It is a gem! I love the property and the neighborhood. Was given 2 tokens to get a coffee next door. Would highly recommend! "

"Although the room was a little shabby and worn, it was sufficiently clean and quiet. The standout was the staff. I had booked 10 nights but only ended up needing to stay for 7, and the woman at the front desk went above and beyond to coordinate with Expedia to secure a refund for the unused portion, which was very much appreciated! "Rooms are decent but you can hear every time a door closes in another room. The toilet is very low and the lids have to be closed before you can flush and they slam each time.
The restaurant is closed at night and there are very few nearby options. The checkin area is right by the sliding doors so staff have to use a space heater to keep warm. Overall I would not stay here for “pleasure “ again. "

My 4/5 rating is because they emphasize that they are dog friendly but there was no place on or around the property to safely take our dog for potty breaks. "I was underwhelmed with this hotel. It is under construction right now, so the lobby layout is confusing and feels very cramped. Our room layout was fine and it was clean, but the bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen. The bathroom door was a pocket door that did not go all the way to ground, thus providing very little privacy. The location is great, but this was billed as one of the nicest hotels in Portland and overall felt very mid-range. "
