"Things went wrong that were outwith the hotels control. The staff went above and beyond to make up for the issue. We had a lovely stay as a result and would heartily recommend the Portpatrick hotel to others. Fantastic hospitality. "

"This was the best accommodation that we had in our whole two weeks in the UK. The owners are absolutely lovely and amazing, the dinner was divine, the breakfast was very tasty and the setting of the lighthouse right at the coast is absolutely stunning. Also, our dog was very welcome and loved it.
I definitely recommend this to everyone - even if just for a dinner or lunch."

"Our family kg 4 had a wonderful stay and we were delightfully surprised by the friendliness and fun activities we found during our overnight. The pool was fine if not a bit chilly but was offset by the warm hot tub. We enjoyed getting dinner in the Curling Club’s bar and kids had fun watching a match! Breakfast was good, cold buffet was maybe a little basic but the hot to-order items made up for it and the staff were kind and helpful.
