"Whilst you could say the room was clean, it was in poor state of repair with flaking paint and shabby. The bathroom was in a very poor state with a large area of black mold above the window and around the bath. The bath edges were rusty as was around the bath drain. The sink unit was extremely shabby with swollen surfaces where water had soaked the MDF timber. The bathroom smelt badly and, on the whole, was unacceptable. "What a great hotel - charming, comfortable and lovely decor; friendly professional staff; great location as removed from town so very peaceful but can get to town easily; great pool area with plentiful sun beds - no waiting for sun beds; adults only so very quiet; affordable prices for a five star. "I had originally mistakenly booked a twin room and before the holiday, I emailed the hotel to request a change to a double bed room. Upon arrival, during check in, we were “upgraded” to a fantastic, ground floor apartment facing the sea. Great shower, kitchen and the bed could have fitted 4 people! Being on the forefront of the headland, we did feel the wind more but on the days when the sun came out, it was all worth it. Pool bar staff were great and the food very reasonable priced. Good job!"
