What a great view and what a great outdoor space! The location is ideal for us. It is definitely a crowded area though especially around the Easter holiday we found.If you are a people watcher, this is your place. The staff went above and beyond -everything I requested they were able to make happen for me. We plan on coming back next year.

We started in a standard twin bed room and were able to switch after 2nd night. The room was clean but eafter a couple of days, we wanted a room with a balcony. The difference in olive was nominal so it was a pleasant surprise. Once we got the bigger room, it was definitely more spacious and the balcony was large with a small kitchette. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. My daughter and I enjoyed having a view of the beach. The sunsets were amazing. We ate at different restaurants each day and always felt safe walking the Malecon in the evenings. Our length oft stay was 7 days. I would definitely book a this hotel again.

We had a Junior Suite and the view was terrific. Kind of wish they had an awning over the balcony / patio as afternoon sun was quite intense. Bed and other furnishings were just fine. Bathroom was small but served the purpose. I hope the tap water was safe because there was no bottled water provided. WiFi was ok in the room, but shaky out on balcony / patio. Staff was great across the board.

if ocean side room it’s great ocean views and sunsets nice patio but real basic room toilet take at least 4 flushes, minimum of 3 minutes till hot water arrives staff is great, clean rooms, great location to many great restaurants seconds away, can be loud from music outside but that’s just because your right in the heart of it and on the beach

Quiet simple boutique hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Had a balcony overlooking the ocean and kept the glass door open to listen to the waves for my entire stay. Have been coming here for years. Looking forward to going back again.

I had a fantastic stay at Emperador Vallarta Beachfront Hotel and Suites. From the moment I arrived, the experience was seamless—they had my room ready early and allowed me to check in without any hassle, which was a great start. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, with daily cleaning that kept everything fresh. A nice touch was the complimentary bar refrigerator, which made it easy to keep drinks and snacks on hand. The amenities overall were solid and thoughtfully provided. The highlight for me was the view—absolutely stunning. From my terrace, I had an incredible outlook over the iconic Los Muertos Pier, which made mornings and evenings especially memorable. The location couldn’t be better. Just about 200 meters from the beach along Bahía de Banderas, and right in the heart of Zona Romántica, you’re surrounded by excellent restaurants, plus easy walking access to bars and nightlife. The hotel’s attached restaurant, El Señor, is a standout on its own. Great food, plus the option for private beach dining makes for a really special experience. The hotel also offers beach lounge chairs, which is a nice perk for relaxing by the water. One tip: request a beachside room if possible, as the street-facing rooms can be a little noisy in the evenings. Overall, this is a great beachfront option with unbeatable location, friendly service, and some memorable touches that made my stay truly enjoyable. I’d definitely return.

Great room overlooking the ocean, staff are very service oriented. The rooms require updates; specifically the bathrooms and internet was really poor, kept dropping constantly. Great place, great location, proximity to everything was definitely the highlight.

Our first few nights were facing the street. The room was cozy but clean. Air conditioner worked well, but was very noisy. Bathroom was tight and door knob was broken. We thought that even though it needed a few things we could make it for the week. It was clean and we wouldn't be spending a lot of time in the room. When we spoke to the front desk about the price difference between the street facing room verses a beach facing room, the wonderful gentleman offered us a free upgrade. The room was reasonably larger, the air conditioner was quite, the bathroom also had more room. The staff was absolutely great. The gentlemen at the front desk were super helpful and a pleasure to chat with. The hotel is right on the beach and easy walking distance to the melacon, shops and restaurants very close.

I stayed in a standard king room. The building itself is a bit older but still maintained very well. The main highlight of the hotel is its convenient location on the beach. The staff are very friendly and willing to share information on what to do in Puerto Vallarta. If noise bothers you, this may not be the best place since it is located next to several bars and clubs playing loud music.

The room was just a mountain side standard room (nothing special) but I knew this going in. But it was always cleaned very, very well by the friendly house keeping staff! The entire hotel staff was very friendly, let us use a refrigerator in our room and was responsive to questions and needs that we had. Our trip had to be unexpectedly extended due to the cartel attacks in the city and the hotel staff was very gracious and even offered a discount for the additional days. I was most appreciative and would not expect that to occur in the USA! It was a great location and I would definitely stay at this property again!

The rooms, while basic in nature, were very clean and the staff made the stay extremely enjoyable. Even during the incident on the 22 March 2026 the staff still showed up and cared about everyone being safe. They definitely went above and beyond every day.

Elevator broken the entire stay. Front staff were amazing and kind throughout the stay. 1st night was a horrible room on the basement floor with no view. We should get credit for the first night.
