"Yes, as others mentioned, check-in was slow. The guy checking us in was really nice though. Yes there are 2 separate buildings for the hotel, one just down the road, but that is not a big deal either. We were in the building by the river and we got a top story room right next to the stairs. The room was pretty clean. They do not move furniture to vacuum, so when we moved the chair a little, we found a bunch of hair and crumbs. Beds we decent. The major downside was we heard the door to stairs...

"I would never stay in this hotel again. We paid incredibly high per night rates due to a last minute family emergency which had our son in the ICU. It's high season so we had no choice which we can accept but for what we paid the experience was terrible. It's also an insult that beyond the high per night cost they charge $10 per night parking. Musty smell in common areas. Bathtub would not drain properly. The hotel franchise property owners need to step up their game."

"The Innkeeper is super great and personable. We had a delightful visit during our time in Freeport at the Candlebay Inn. The room was nicely setup, with all tips and tricks for the property shared by the Keeper. The shower's water pressure leaves some to be desired but given the authentic nature of the property, it's understandable. Highly recommend the nearby Tuscan bistro, and checking out the LL Bean store. The breakfast is also lovely in the morning to not have to worry about it. The town...

"Check-in was quick and easy. The staff was super friendly. Our room was clean with no complaints. We didn't use any amenities or eat breakfast, so I can't answer to those. Overall good experience and the location is awesome."

"We stayed there for two nights at this charming inn. Very cute and the only hiccup was the air conditioning. It was like a meat locker and no way to adjust the temperature. The morning breakfast was simple but very adequate Definitely check it out ! We will be back!"
