"shower pressure is horrible and it takes 10 minutes for the water to get hot. there was only 1 working elevator. elevator companies have 24 hour service and they should have been called to get someone there ASAP as there were a crap tin of people in town for a wrestling tournament that spanned 3 days. there was no note on the broken elevator and the door to the stairs was locked so you couldn’t even use them. we left our scale in the room and went back for it and it surprisingly was not in lost and found which means a staff member took it. i suppose they needed it that bad to steal it. the front desk staff was very nice the whole time even when the drunk adults were yelling and screaming in the lobby."

"If you like sleeping on a concrete floor, you will love the beds. I understand it was not an expensive hotel but at least make the effort to have comfortable beds. Other than that, the property itself has been badly neglected and the hallways to the rooms mirror that of a badly produced horror film. Have 2 stars because the air was cold. I’m not hard to please but will definitely not stay at this place again."

"I had a very mixed experience at Rodeway Inn & Suites Winter Haven Chain of Lakes. The biggest issue was the cleanliness of the room—it did not meet basic expectations. Because of that, we didn’t feel safe or comfortable staying. We ended up only being there for about 3 hours just to rest briefly and let the kids enjoy the pool before deciding to leave and head back home. The pool area was actually decent and seemed to be one of the better-maintained parts of the property. However, I was also disappointed that the hotel advertises a free continental breakfast, which was not available during our stay. That felt misleading and should be clearly communicated. I do want to highlight that the front desk clerk was amazing—very professional, kind, and helpful. Honestly, they were the best part of the entire experience and handled everything with a great attitude. Overall, due to the condition of the room and the lack of advertised amenities, I wouldn’t stay here again, but I do appreciate the excellent customer service from the staff."
