"Colonial Inn is an older property that seems to have built newer rooms while also maintaining older rooms. We were given one of the older rooms. The good? Great staff, breakfast, comfortable bed in a huge room with a whirlpool bath, shower, sitting area in the room and fireplace with a small porch for sitting outside. The bad? Musty, moldy smell in our room, and a very loud ac unit. They knew they had a problem with humidity as they had also put a dehumidifier in the room, which fillled in 6 hrs...

"The pool and hot tub were nice. The room was very handy since it had a second room with 2 more beds, something great with 2 adults a d 4 kids. Breakfast was okay only a little sparce. Property would be suited well with getting a drain field put in so the immediate area and parking lot doesn't flood."

"My wife and I loved our hotel room, complimentary breakfast, roomy and clean bathroom and shower area, very comfortable, clean beds, very friendly and helpful staff all around from the front desk, house keeping, kitchen staff and the location is superb in that it is close to Peteosky, Bay Shore and downtown Charlevoix. So, I must whole heartedly recommend to everyone who wants to pick an excellent place to stay, it would be here."

"HORRIBLE ROOM, TERRIBLE!!!!
NEVER will stay again at days in. Horrible. Unacceptable. I hope a health department will show up for an inspection of your rooms. They will close you down instantly
Unacceptable. Room 103 had a bathroom door with 1/3 of it MOLD. On the bottom it was coming apart. I could not believe it when I saw it. How can you offer that to your customers. MOLD smell and inhalation affects someone’s Health. I have asthma and respiratory issues.
I have no words and my blood...

"The lady at front desk (Jackie?) was very nice, fun and helped us in many ways. It’s an old building and that’s a part of experience. The only disappointment was the jet tab in our room. Probably not used much though looked clean, the hot water was brownish and a bit challenging to use it. Still we enjoyed our stay :)"
