During my visit in August, the street in front of the hotel was a pedestrian zone bustling with people late into the night, so I felt safe returning late after dinner. The staff were all kind, too; even though my room was on the third floor and there was no elevator, they helped me carry my luggage up when I checked in. "This 'diamond in the rough', boutique hotel is perfectly situated in downtown Vancouver. Next door to an entrance to the clean, reliable subway system. "Excellent location, friendly staff, clean rooms- very charming hotel. Would stay at again, but make sure you bring your own hair conditioner (shampoo, toothpaste, qtips, makeup wipes, lotion, & shower cap were supplied). Thought all rooms had a shared bathroom, but both of our rooms had their own bathroom. People at the front desk very extremely helpful and friendly. It was quiet & in a safe area, but still a very short walk to BC Place & Gastown. Would definitely recommend!"
