"We booked a superior room with a sea view. It was everything you could want. The view over the water was superb. The fit out was great. The convenience to the ferry terminal was great as was the access to the bus. The breakfast basket was as comprehensive as we have ever had and satisfied our requirements excellently. As for Isle of Man, we did not know what to expect but it far exceeded our expectations, The steam train, the vintage electric railway, the train up the mountain and horse drawn...

"We had a two night stay at the Welbeck Hotel. Whilst the decor in the room appeared dated, it was very clean and bathrooms appeared to have been recently renovated. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend."

"I just very recently came back (July 2026) from almost a week on the Isle of Man and stayed at the Devonian the whole time. I can highly recommend it for the breakfasts, the lovely and responsive staff, the central location, and the spotless rooms. For being a three-star hotel, I felt the value was among the best I've ever experienced traveling. "I honestly cannot rate this hotel high enough, the rooms were absolutely spotless, the breakfasts were amazing and the staff. Well every single member of staff were pleasant, polite, courteous and helpful. The aircon was heaven sent in the heatwave, I had amazing sleep every night yet my brother in law in a budget hotel was tormented with heat. I will without a doubt stay there again and wont even contemplate looking at other hotels."

"The opel express was very clean and the breakfast very good with plenty of choice the room had excellent amenities provided ,with a kettle in room and tea coffee and water topped up daily, only saw staff at breakfast and checkout, it was self check in with key to room left in a safe, the room did have a ceiling fan which was very noisy and could only use with the light on, I was there during a very hot period so not much comfort throughout the night, the view from the room was not good looking...

"Loved the comfy bed and ease back down to the Prom! We walked to Queen for dinner and parked the rental without problems!! We did fine with many flights of stairs. Great location!!!!"

"Staff was kind and helpful. Our room was odd to get to going up the stairs then down the stairs. No A/C so windows open… except open to a bar right outside which was loud until 3am. Yikes. Wonderful location next to the promenade and shops. Good food options around too. TV was small. Bar area had broken drafts for the beer. Breakfast was so/so but they would make you eggs however you’d like fresh, so that was nice."

"Receptionist on check in was not friendly and did not explain where breakfast was held, breakfast times, if I wanted dinner reservations etc. It was all robotic - sign here and basically give me your payment. So as a first impression from a long journey not great. Room had suitable amenities. Kettle, biscuits, hairdrier. Shower very powerful. Bed comfy. Breakfast good selection. Staff friendly and efficient in the breakfast area. Hotel clean."

"Spotless room and friendly staff. Great breakfasts (if you have the 'Full Manx' you may not need to eat again for the rest of the day!). Downstairs is a no-frills pub with good bar meals in the evening. Separate breakfast room for the mornings. I had a spacious ensuite room upstairs. Nothing special, but comfortable and worth the money that I paid. I would stay here again."
