Used the hotel as a base for a Dufourspitze summit and it was ideal - opposite the Zermatt rail, there's a supermarket next door and parking.

A high end hotel with space to spread out in the public areas but also many good size rooms with balconies if you want privacy. You sometimes need to search out staff with questions or to get help but once you do then nothing is too much trouble. Location is excellent next to the Matterhorn Express and 5-10 minutes walk to the Sunnega Funicular (or you can catch the free shuttle bus if you have a lift pass). This hotel was everything I dreamed. The rooms were stunning, beds comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, amazing view of the Matterhorn from our balcony on the second floor. The perfect choice of hotel for skiing in Zermatt! Right in the heart of the main town close to all amenities, ski lifts (walking distance/free bus) & the old town wooden barns which are so picturesque. The entire town is actually! Well-located, walkable, and near the Zermatt train station. They provide free pick-up and drop-off services, which is wonderful. The room is well-maintained and spotless. Their breakfast options are excellent. Their staff is incredibly helpful and courteous. I got there somewhat early. They gladly finished the check-in procedure. They are always willing to help with navigation, village maps, etc. Around Zermatt, there are several trails to follow.

We really enjoined our stay at this property. The personnel is very nice, rooms very clean and conformable and breakfast is great. Just 7 minutes walk to Matterhorn-Express, the hotel is very central but quiet at the same time.
