The rooms were clean for the most part, and the front desk staff was friendly and easy to deal with. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill toward the end of our stay. The shower began leaking and needed to be repaired, and we were told we could not take a shower until after 5:00 PM that day. The owner did extend our checkout time because of the inconvenience, which was appreciated.
That said, the location was probably the biggest disappointment. The property looks much nicer online than it does in person. The hotel entrance is tucked away in an alley, which was not what we expected. Our balcony view was also far from scenic. Instead of the beautiful views you might assume from the photos, we were looking directly at an abandoned building and rooftop.
For what we paid, I expected more. I understand that you get what you pay for, but this stay was honestly underwhelming. The staff was fine and the room was clean, but the overall property and experience did not match the impression given online. I would definitely recommend looking closely at the location and surrounding area before booking.
