The Opera Hotel in Riga is located within minutes of Old Town and a few blocks from Freedom Monument. Across the busy intersection is a shopping center (with several dining options and a pharmacy) and Riga's Central Station. Opera Hotel's front desk had some of the friendliest hotel staff I have ever encountered. The hotel even offered up umbrellas to its guests as I was there during a rainy weekend.

Comfy room (superior double), although bathroom while in great condition could use modernisation and more thoughtful amenities (just single use soap bars and a combo shampoo/shower gel). Definitely not a bad 4* hotel and good value for money. But sure there are better 4* hotels in Riga.

I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Opera in Riga. The location is perfect—just steps from the Old Town and opposite the central train station, making it super convenient for exploring the city. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, with a great view of the park. The staff were friendly and professional, always ready to help. Breakfast offered a good variety and was a great start to each day. Overall, a stylish and welcoming hotel—I’d definitely stay here again!

Great location, nice hotel

Great location right across the street from main train station, bus station, big shopping mall. Old town 5min walk. Comfy beds, clean room, friendly staff. Minus: lower floors might have traffic noise, bathroom has shower corner where water everywhere on floor. Ok breakfast until late so can sleep. I would stay here again.

We spent 2 nights in standard twin beds room on the first floor. Overall it's a good hotel for the price. The things I liked the most: very friendly & helpful staff; very clean & comfortable beds; clean & nice bathroom. Also there are issues for improvement: WiFi internet was lost several times for a certain periods; LCD TV is a subject for upgrade (small diagonal of 23 inch & not possible to connect external devices like USB memory stick with media files); light bad odour from bathroom floor drain.

All perfect but no windows

Everything perfect, just unexpectedly got a room without windows. There was however a roof window on the ceilling pointing straight towards the sky which could be opened with a long stick.

My stay at the Opera Hotel was absolutely perfect! The location is excellent — safe, central, and with very easy access to public transportation. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options to start the day right. I especially want to mention Oskars at the reception — he was very helpful and friendly, and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Riga!

I had an enjoyable stay at Opera hotel, my flight got me into Riga to early to check in however I was able to leave my bag at the hotel until check in time. The room was clean spacious and has one of the comfiest hotel beds I’ve ever slept in. The female member of staff on the front desk (I can’t remember your name, sorry) that I spoke to was brilliant, she managed to teach me a small bit of Latvian, Paldies!
