"The staff was friendly and helpful. There was room to park our 32 ft camper out back and our room was at the back where we could see it. The hotel was clean and the room was comfortable. Pool was under construction. Could use a water dispenser and vending machines. The gym was small but it had all I needed. The remote for the tv was gross. Need wipes for equipment and remote, a hand sanitizer dispenser, and hand soap in bathroom (other than bar soap that I don't know where it had been), and towels in gym. Walking distance of Cracker Barrell, a definite plus!"

"The hotel is older and shows a little wear but the staff more than makes up for lack of cosmetics. They were the best staff I have ever stayed with in Blacksburg! "

"So clean I felt safe taking a bath! Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well stocked, waffles are a must for me! Star deducted for the AC having a smell when turned on, but it didn't cause problems with my allergies so probably just hadn't been used recently. Not a fan of the smell of shampoos provided, the hand soap was unscented though and that was great since my family has scent allergies."

"Nice place to stay! Love the contemporary styling of the room which was good sized with a large bathroom. The bathroom was spotless. The shower was large, bright with very hot water and good pressure. It was nice that there was a decent restaurant on the top floor. This a good place to stay if you’re traveling through the area even though it’s off the highway a few miles. "

"I’m surprised that Holiday Inn lets this hotel operate under the IHG banner. This hotel is not up to General Holiday Inn standards. The rooms have that foul, musty smell. The sink did not drain properly. The shower water was mildly warm at best. I realize it is an older hotel but there is zero effort to keep it modern. Such a shame. I booked through a 3rd party (hotels.com) and prepaid for 4 breakfasts. The hotel claims to have no record of this. Now I have to see how to handle that misstep. Terrible experience from a traveler who generally trusts the Holiday Inn brand name. "
