"This little gem was a fantastic find off the beaten path in Colorado Springs. I opted to make several reservations just in case we wanted to swap places. The property itself is just breathtaking and beautiful. Plenty of grounds to cover hiking, on a stroll, bird watching. Our first hike we saw wild turkeys, a bobcat nursing her baby, and rabbits. Lots of history and detail in this place. Would definitely return!"

"The a/c in our room wasn’t functioning properly and we’re told a maintenance person wouldn’t be available until our stay was over and there was no offer to switch rooms. Carpet had frayed hole as well as the curtains. The free breakfast items were limited. When the gentleman worked the breakfast he basically stood behind us and told us how to make our breakfast because he liked things pulled from and done a certain way. The desk staff were nice though. "The view is beautiful and right off the highway. Lots of stores and restaurants not far from the location. Upon check in the front desk clerk was very helpful and she was able to accommodate us with an early check in. After driving 8 hours it was such a relief. However some things like the doors were run down when I put my card I had to go downstairs to ask why the door wouldn’t open in which they told me I had to flip the handle up instead of down first and to pull the door before inserting my key card. I also had a struggle getting into the hotel from other exterior doors with my key card as it wouldn’t read it properly."
