Omni Dallas Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"[We booked a deluxe room, 1 king bed, 4 nights; first-time customers of this hotel.] Staff were universally courteous and helpful. Porters took due care loading & unloading our luggage and conveying to & from our room. Valet parking process was smooth, and a bargain for only an additional $10/night on top of the $30/night self-parking fee. Room: tidy and well-appointed for its type. Pleased that all the lights in the main room were dimmable. If you, like us, must have complete darkness to sleep, unplug the tall rectangular light; it dims, but we never found an off switch. The automatic floor light on the far side of the bed was unexpected & appreciated. A/C worked very well. Minor annoyance: no USB ports in the room, a standard feature nowadays in hotels of this level. The extra power outlets were difficult to locate as their dark colour was nearly invisible against the dark furniture. (FYI - turn out to be located on the under-edge of the desk’s front, and the side facing the bed for each bedside table.) Room service was prompt; we enjoyed the food. (N.B.: we are not foodies, gourmands, or gourmets, so YMMV.) For me, the apple chicken sausage was a highlight. The portions are Texas-sized — bring along some ziplock bags to store leftovers in the in-room refrigerator. (Our room did not have a microwave oven, so consider whether a given hot dish can be enjoyed cold.) We will happily return to the Omni Hotel Dallas whenever we attend an event at the convention center."
Hyatt Regency Dallas
8/10 Good
"The stay was great, beautiful hotel, great valet (50 per night), room was really nice and comfortable. Overall really nice, except no where in any email or confirmation did it mention the 21+ check-in policy. So when we arrived (both under 21) we had to then wait an extra two hours for a relative to help us check in to the hotel room for the night and it was a huge hassle that could’ve been avoided by labeling it as a 21+ check-in hotel."

Magnolia Hotel Dallas Downtown
10/10 Excellent
"Another amazing stay at the Magnolia Hotel! This was our third stay for Dallas FanExpo weekend and our third 5-star time. From booking to arriving to the room to the amenities, it was all amazing. I love, love, love the vintage feel and design of the hotel too. The original elevators are so cool, but give yourself time to wait on their arrival: Sometimes they can take a few extra minutes! 😁 I can't wait for next year's FanExpo weekend so we can stay again!"

"The A/c wasn’t working to full capacity. The bathrooms are dated and paying $30 pp for breakfast! Yikes."

"I loved the property. The pool could definitely use an update and some maintenance, but it did not affect our satisfaction."
