"This was an absolutely beautiful resort, it was perfectly located. The staff were exceptional! The food was good decent better food off the resort for sure. But the accommodations were really nice and I really enjoyed my time there."
Mahogany Bay Resort & Beach Club, Curio Collection by Hilton
10/10 Excellent
"Mahogany Bay Resort is absolutely! It’s like a neighborhood of its own! Shuttle to the resort perfect! The hotel staff were friendly and amazing! The hotel manager Marcus was so nice to even decorate my room for my birthday! Everyone went above and beyond. I will definitely be returning!"
"My experience was great. The hotel was clean and accessible to all the hot spots. The only thing I would say is that the laundry service that is offered was not a good experience for me. When I checked my clothing, they were folded neatly, but they weren't washed."
"First time in San Pedro, Belize and it was the perfect spot to stay in! Looks just like the pictures and seemed secluded from outside even though it’s located on a main street. It is walking distance from the airport, restaurants, supermarkets, and bars/clubs if you’re into nightlife scene. Not to mention, steps away from the ocean itself!! The staff were very polite and accommodating. I would highly recommend staying here! Truly a hidden gem."
"The staff is very kind and personable. The atmosphere is super chill. We really enjoyed the natural feel of the resort. It was a great location to transportation and places to eat. We will be back."
"The property is beautiful and well maintained. The room was perfect and the air conditioner worked great!! The location of the property is convenient to town and the airport. The food was absolutely amazing!! We ate the continental breakfast daily, which was really good, but we also had several dinners there and everything that we had was exceptional. All of the staff were also super kind and helpful. We will definitely stay at the Victoria House again."
"This resort was a dream come true and would have been a perfect 10/10 if not for one issue at checkout.
The location is a true tropical paradise. The remote setting makes it feel like you have the island to yourself, and even the 30-minute boat ride across the Caribbean adds to the sense of escape. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and accommodating throughout our stay.
The food was outstanding. This is not a buffet-style resort, but there were plenty of menu options, everything was made fresh, and the dishes highlighted local and seasonal ingredients. The property is spacious, so the pool, bar, and relaxation areas never felt crowded. We also enjoyed the variety of activities, including ceviche-making and mixology classes. Despite the remote location, we felt safe exploring nearby beaches and trails.
There was some seaweed, but that’s simply part of visiting this region at certain times of year, and the resort did its best to manage it.
Our only disappointment involved an excursion booked through the resort. We repeatedly confirmed that the quoted price included all taxes and marine park fees, but at checkout we were told those charges were extra, increasing the cost by about 25%. The issue wasn’t the additional expense—it was the lack of transparency.
Overall, the resort is beautiful, the staff are wonderful, and the experience is unforgettable. We would gladly return and still recommend it to others."
Hostels are a great way to stay for a lower cost, so you can save more for fun things to do. We've heard good things about this destination's natural setting, including its beaches and island views.
