Its difficult to find superlatives that match the enjoyment we had at the Albatroz. Its a stunning location and everything was right from the check-in to the check-out. The staff at the Hotel have a value set and desire to provide service that is matched only by 5 star establishments, and in my estimation this certainly is a 5 star Hotel. We plan to return, and frankly cant wait to do so. Go and enjoy!!

We stayed for 5 nights and had the most relaxing and lovely time. Nice promenade in front and 5 mins drive from airport. Make sure you book free transfer to Funchal at the reception. We loved the hot stone massage. Food was awsome including the daily evetns at the bar e.g. parrot show, live music etc. Pick up a local bus timetable at the reception. 2 mins walk to the local bus stop going to Funchal,Airport and Machico beach. I stayed at Ocean Gardens Hotel for two weeks in March 2015. The staff were friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding area.
