"We checked in. Went to our room tried to get on and the door would not open. We had our dog with us and we were hot, sweaty and tired. By the look of the hotel, we decided to leave. At the front desk returned the keys and asked for a refund the girl at front desk did the refund. Waiting on the refund on my credit card."

"the wash-hand basin in the bathroom was not cleaned sufficiently to remove some residue left on the basin (likely given a cursory wipe). The fridge was not working properly was told a working one would be put in it never happened.

Full Story: Look, I’m a reasonable traveler. I’ve stayed in budget motels before, and I know that sometimes nature finds a way indoors. When I walked into my room at the Super 8 in Ellenton after a long day at the beach, and a cockroach decided to take a stroll across the pillow, my family and I were definitely grossed out. There WERE some closer hotels to the beach, but they were far more expensive.
