"To be clear, review based on the annex and accepting it is economy accommodation, the main building (400 yards away looked like a very different story. Firstly, no towels in the room, you had to guess and found some in a sort of open scullery along the corridor. There was no proper lighting in the room, just a plug in up lighter lamp and in the morning, no hot water in the shared shower. Informed receptionist who said ‘okay, thanks’ so probably not an unknown issue. The annex was pretty clean but tired and shabby. Breakfast in the main building was ok/adequate, the setting is absolutely gorgeous. Just a one night stop off to break journey so served a purpose but wouldn’t stay there again, better spend another £40 somewhere for something better - with hot water!"
