Just OK
The rooms were clean but the motel is older and a little run down. The owners were a little cranky at times but overall not bad. Beds were hard and the showers weren't great. I’m 5”9’ and o had to bend down to get my head wet. Overall it was just ok but I doubt I would stay again.

I'm really dismayed at your review, especially when I went out of my way and spent time trying to save you . I'm assuming that by reminding your group of the "no smoking" policy as well as asking that a visiting dog stay out of the guest rooms, that you attribute that as being "cranky". It was only a reminder of state law and hotel policy which was completely explained upon check-in. Shower heads are low, but that's how they built it. Motel IS older, and 'made in Maine' furniture is our style, so if you want a chain type experience, we definitely aren't for you. If you want a laid back, Maine beach cottage style accommodations (70's style) that's what you get. (That's how our hundreds of returning guests like it) I'm sorry that we were not what you were expecting.

The property is dated, but that adds somewhat to a kind of charm and rusticness. It is on the water and has a very nice and large patio area on the ocean side. I would definitely stay again. Also, I thought the room rates were reasonable for the area.

This was a very relaxing stay. It is right on the beach. There is not a coffeepot in every room or a hairdryer, but they have cable TV. We brought our own coffeepot and hairdryer and we were fine,There is also a kitchen available if you just bring your own coffee, and pots and pans for cooking in the motel section as well. If you are looking for a quiet place, with a clean room, hot shower, and right on a quiet beach, this is it. Very close to major attractions and good food. We will be returning!

The location is great. It has a private entry to the beach so you don't need to walk a long distance to go to the beach. In addition, you won't find any hotel with breakfast in that area and this hotel has a great option which is a shared kitchen where you can prepare a light breakfast. This is an awesome option. The staff was kind and friendly. I felt like a family. There were two thing I didn't like. There was no recycle bin. On the other hand, rooms had carpet instead of wood floors and those carpets smells a bit. The location close to the beach might cause that smell. I will suggest to change those carpets. If you want to get rest and you don't want to go to the center quite often, this place will fit your needs.

This was a very nice way to get on the beach for a few days. This is a small family owned place that has been around for a long time and a nice quiet get away and the beach is flat and wonderful to walk.
