Terrible Stay – Unclean and Unsafe Conditions
We booked two nights at Curley’s Resort and Dive Shop in Sekiu, WA (July 5–7, 2025) but left after one night due to serious health and safety concerns. The unit was filthy—smelled like syrup, full of dust, cobwebs, insects, and a broken, stained sofa bed with no sheets. My girlfriend and children’s asthma flared up immediately. I politely asked for a different room but was told none were available. When I requested a refund for the second night, I was met with hostility and falsely accused of breaking the sofa, which was already broken on arrival. The manager dismissed our concerns, saying I “chose to come to a rural area,” as if that justified unsanitary conditions. I’m in the military and have stayed in many rural places—none this poorly maintained. Avoid this place if you care about your health, comfort, or being treated with respect.
